Can't speak for all the shows, but the one he used during the North American tour lit up just like that. I remember commenting on it at the time.

I didn't remember if it was chrome or not, but I was on Chris' side, and the pillars meant the piano was quite far away from me.

The piano was covered in chrome especially the The Olympics (there was a tweet about it) so probably the same one.

Yup. It lights up. You can see it at the very beginning. The reflection on the top part of the piano shows the lights. I had completely forgotten that.

 

I liked his see-through piano. Both that and the chrome on are cool.

He had it lit up during the show in Sweden 2009, which was the second show of TR-tour, that's just the same wrapped in chrome (which is awesome )

His piano has always lit up since the Absolution tour. From BH&R forward they added the shell around it to make it look like a grand piano though.
