Jazzthief
During the Black Holes & Revelations Tour they had trumpets in "Knights of Cydonia". They also had them in the album version but not as prominent. I always thought that they sounded very cool in the live performances and was saddened to see them removed from the Resistance Tour's version of "Knights...". I personally would like them to return in the next tour, so I'm putting up a poll to see how many other Musers liked them and would like to seem them return. Clunge
Well they only actually used trumpets live for a handful of shows; a couple on the BH&R arena tour (I was at one where they did in Manchester), Jools Holland, the 2007 stadium gigs and a few in Mexico/South America in 2008. 99% of performances of it are without trumpet . Hmm... I thought that every performance had them 'cause all of the performances I've seen had them. But they still were awesome and should return, but that's of-course just my opinion . Clunge
Nah, only a few had actual trumpet. They use a synth instead which might be mistaken for a live trumpet . Wembley Stadium 2007: Jools Holland 2006: Wembley Arena 2006:

FearAndPanic
If they did bring back Dan the Trupmet Man it might inspire City of Delusion. I'm all for it.

Listening to "City of Delusion" actually reminded me how much I miss the trumpet sound .
Clunge
City Of Delusion is easily one of Muse's best songs. Best song of the BH&R era, for sure. It was great live too.
Furygirl
I want them back because I like saying "Dan Dan the trumpet man." And I'd kill to see CoD live.
FearAndPanic
Now I really want to see What's He Building but just with silhouettes of Dan and his trumpet showing up on a giant screen.
Jetro
Yay for trumpets.
Maneachicken
Ah, City of Delusion. Remember when Muse played their best songs live without it having to be a ten year anniversary? Roll on 2013 and 2016. Reckon we'll get Showbiz finally in 2019? EDIT: I think the BHaR tour had more song diversity right?
kueller
[YT] [/YT] As a trumpet player, I would love to see it come back. Also considering I know the guy who played trumpet in this video (well, met him and seen him several times), it would be awesome to actually see him in person playing with Muse. Clunge
Such a good song! Why did the drop it after just one tour? :'(.
Stewez26
Watching trumpet versions of HAARP I see it as a good opening idea, but I really don't think it would work for a closing song. CoD though <
mrskopite
I think a poll should be created to bring back Chris's Rickenbacker bass for KOC. Missed it so much last weekend
supernova14
If they did bring back Dan the Trupmet Man it might inspire City of Delusion. I'm all for it. I would love that. I also think it would be cool if they just let Morgan learn trumper(For KoC and CoD) and learn the clarinet as well(for IBTY, if they brought it back that is) Synthed band instruments seem lame live to me, since I play the clarinet. I can play the CoD solo on clarinet, since it's in the same key, so I love it even more.
