What's the difference between target burst and normal 3-color sunburst? What do you guys think of this? It's an FSR a couple of years ago, with a metallic 3-color sunburst and anodized pickguard. Oh and a V-neck [YT] [/YT] I think either this or the rosewood neck will be my next guitar. Leaning towards this simply for the neckshape though James, what are the 2 guitars we do talk about? I'm guessing the third one is a secret Manson

Is it the one you're buying in the UK and bringing back later this month? Yeah, I loved the Clapton V-shape neck I played earlier. Felt great and the satin finish was so smooth.

There was a really nice Classic 60's one with a rosewood board so dark it looked ebony (albeit twas dry as fffff ) that I liked. Except the damn guitar was lake placid blue Guitar Center has this exclusive Strat with a one-piece rosewood neck which was pretty cool too though. I saw a red one, but hey, look, this one is your color James! http://www.guitarcenter.com/Fender/Limited-Edition-American-Standard-Stratocaster-with-Rosewood-Neck-Electric-Guitar.gc [YT] [/YT]

That's true. The paint on the necks were sloppy on the ones I didn't like. Ones I liked felt really good though. I'm a big fan of the satin maple neck. Liked the maple fretboards more than rosewood too, simply because Guitar Center doesn't oil their fretboards and all the rosewood boards were so damn dry

So I went to Guitar Center earlier today and played with a bunch of Strats. I love how light they are (*lighter* than LP's is what I meant) The new American Elite Strat is really nice. Some of the American Standard ones I played with were pretty sloppily made though. Same thing with the MIM ones - some nice, some downright embarrassing. Worst guitar was the Eric Clapton strat - I loved the V neck but the Fender sticker made it look like a cheap Chinese fake >"> In any case, I want a Strat. The American Elite ones are pretty pricey though - for that money I think I should just buy a body and a Warmoth neck and put it together myself. Shouldn't be that hard, right?

Thanks guys! I'm getting a better idea now. I'm guessing The Globalist slide part is played with the neck pickup, then?

Alright, since I'm already asking... how does a Strat sound? I know it's a crazy noob question, but I've never been able to tell the distinctive sound of anything other than a really twangy tele

So, if I were to get a new bridge pickup for the Cort is anyone here interested in my black BKP Aftermath (MBK-3)?

I too am getting kind of bored of the Trilogy Suites neck I have in the Cort, since I don't really use the neck position anyway, maybe I should just save up for the sustainiac :$

 I'm liking the black finish more Not liking how the guy in the white shirt keeps downplaying the Manson one though. We *all* want a Manson, and I'm certain that my Cort made me want a Manson more now, not the other way around

Yeah, and the one on eBay has a piece broken off too. I apparently can't read, the one available brand new right now has white LEDs, not red. Someone should definitely pull that string

Looks like you can get it in America for $550. Tempting... but then again I should probably save for a real Manson

Woah, I didn't know this was a thing. http://www.themusiczoo.com/blog/2014/custom-shop-made-2-measure-your-gibson-your-way/#expanded Sounds really cool. and James, I didn't meant *rusty* rusty, my bad for the wording - I think I mean when the strings start to feel dirty and sticky On that note, Elixirs seem good so far. Played all day today and no discoloration yet (usually it takes me 2 hours to ruin strings ) EB coated sound really bright to my ears for some reasons. That or the Elixirs are just darker
