  1. The Helsinki 2003 bootleg. Awesome set, but that vocal distortion wrecks it. Sounds cool on the Space Dementia chorus though. Same with Montreux 2002. Glad the effects are a lot more subtle nowadays.
  2. My edited version sounded awesome on mp3 playback, i only changed a handful of songs due to me not having live versions of Defector and Revolt and wanting Psycho and DI in. Ooh Rusty, thats another one I could work with. Like that one quite a bit, shame we have no Defector and the only proshots I have of Small Print are a demo version and a Psycho extended outro
  3. This is pretty nice. Just done a tracklist with a few changes. 1. Reapers (Big Weekend) 2. Psycho ( Big Weekend) 3. Supermassive ( Big Weekend) 4. Assassin ( Join the Resistance free download, cannot remember what gig) 5. The Handler ( Werchter) 6. Hysteria ( Werchter) 7. Munich Jam and Dead Inside ( Werchter) 8. Citizen Erased ( Werchter) 9. Sunburn ( Japan 2013) 10. Space Dementia ( Reading 2011) 11. Supremacy ( Japan 2013) 12. Plug In Baby ( Austin 2013) 13. Starlight ( Werchter ) 14. Time Is Running Out ( Werchter) 15. Bliss ( Japan 2013) 16. Stockholm Syndrome ( Werchter) 17. Isolated System ( Austin 2013) 18. Uprising ( Werchter) 19. Mercy ( Werchter) 20. Knights of Cydonia ( Austin 2013) Nice set Rusty, good call.
  4. Yeah, i think SMBH and MotP would be better, both BHandR singles and both quite accessible. Resistance and Starlight could be rotated, as they too are quite similar. Other rotations could include Bliss/Plug In Baby, Newborn/Citizen Erased, Time Is Running Out/Hysteria, Showbiz/Muscle Museum/Uno(yeah,right), AP/Space Dementia, UsOE/Feeling Good, Butterflies/Assassin, and possibly a slot for a random rare song like Deadstar or Hypermusic or even Agitated and Yes Please,
  5. I like these ones the best. Showbiz - MCM cafe Origins- Montreux Jazz Festival Abso - Helsinki, Earls Court, Glasto full Black Holes - V fest, Royal Albert Hall, Reading Resistance - Teignmouth, Berlin, Seattle, Glasto 2nd Law - Austin City Limits, iTunes fest, Japan Drones - Rock Werchter, The Mayan Couple are official streams, mostly broadcast from festivals, couple of "proper" bootlegs (all of which have great sound quality and nearly at proshot levels. V Fest 2008 seems to come from the bands earpieces, as you can occasionally hear a metronome, but still fantastic sound). Montreux Jazz has a couple of Absolution songs that are still in their demo states. If anyone knows of any concert bootlegs that match the quality of these, i would be very interested to have a look
  6. Surprising how many of these hits are considered rarities at live shows nowadays. They could get away with playing just singles and new songs. You also have singles such as Supremacy, Uno and Cave too, which were not top 40. I mean Citizen Erased has been played more times than half these songs according to setlist fm.
  7. 1. Drones 2. Reapers 3. Drill Seargent 4. Psycho 5. Bliss ( short, no first chorus or second verse) 6. Stockholm Syndrome ( no first chorus or second verse, Micro Cuts outro) 7. The Handler 8. Resistance (short, you know the drill) 9. Interlude 10. Hysteria ( Choose your outro) 11. Apocalypse Please 12. Munich / Varia jam 13. Dead Inside 14. Supermassive Black Hole 15. Revolt 16. Plug In Baby ( shortened, same way as others) 17. Host ( first verse) 18. Time is Running Out 19. JFK 20. Defector 21. Uprising ( rock outro) 22. The Globalist 23.Aftermath 24. Starlight ( first verse, first chorus only) 25.Mercy ( first verse sang over Starlight verse 2 music) 26. Man with a Harmonica 27. Knights of Cydonia ( Space Dementia outro) You could have time for a couple of rarities too, with the shorter versions of songs. I do like the idea of having the crowd singalong for Starlight, and them Matt starts singing Mercy ( although not too sure what drumbeat Dom should be doing)
  8. I am going to see them twice within 10 days (thats a funny story in itself) Dont care if its the same set, enjoyed all the shows i have been to, looking forward to seeing them this tour
  9. Nice. Not heard that one for a few years. Had a nice idea regarding this thread though. Last year i went to see Linkin Park and they got through nearly 30 songs in 1 hour 30. They played shorter versions of quite a few songs, for example Papercut had no second verse or chorus, they went straight to the bridge after the first chorus. I thought it was pretty cool, and the audience were loving it. It would be cool if Muse done something similar ( or we come up with a set like that here). They have done it in the past on a few occassions, such as playing the first verse of Host before Time Is Running Out, and replacing Deadstar outro with the Micro Cuts outro. Do you guys think it would be cool to do that, allowing more songs to be squeezed in, or do you think it would be an abysmal sin for Muse to commit, such as the piano rotation i mentioned on the last page (whoops )
  10. I like Eurasia. I think good piano song rotation would be for 2 songs 1. Feeling Good/ USoE/ Explorers/ Ruled by Secrecy/ Hoodoo 2. Apocalypde Please/ Space Dementia/ Sunburn To be honest, i would like to see Sunburn return as a guitar song with Morgan on keys, like early 2006.
  11. Great interview from Zane. There was some good stuff here.
  12. 6. See Glasto 2010 12. Reading 2011, even follows on from Space Dementia 15. The Globalist heavy section following the countdown instead of the Back in Black outro. Not that hard to see happening considering prelude was played before Starlight the other night As for Reapers and Township Rebellion outro, see iHeart Radio gig. What would be pointless is playing the Freedom riff after Reapers
  13. 1. Defector ( JFK intro ) 2. Supermassive Black Hole 3. The Handler 4. Plug In Baby 5. Mercy 6. Time is Running Out ( School outro ) 7. Munich Jam 8. Dead Inside 9. Uprising ( extended outro) 10. Apocalypse Please 11. Space Dementia ( guitar outro ) 12. Hypermusic 13. Dead Star ( Micro Cuts outro) 14. Interlude 15. Hysteria ( Globalist riff outro) 16. Starlight ( Bedroom Acoustic intro) 17. Showbiz ( Ashamed outro) 18. Knights of Cydonia ( Man with a Harmonica intro) 19. Psycho ( Drill Sargent intro) 20. Stockholm Syndrome ( with Agitated, Execution Commentary and Endless Nameless riffs) 21. Reapers ( with Township Rebellion outro)
  14. Yeah, its your setlist, good version of SS to end with would be V fest 08, as it is still quite heavy, would suit your setlist because it had Hypermusic as outro and no Psycho riff either Anyway, i reckon a good setlist would contain at some stage this combo of songs, played in this order. 1. Micro Cuts 2. Stockholm Syndrome ( no outro, yet ) 3. Hypermusic 5. Psycho 6. Reapers ( ending with usual SS outros such ax Township Rebellion or/and Endless Nameless) Heavy metal heaven for 30 minutes, thry can play as many Starlights, Guiding Lights, Madness as they like following that lol.
  15. Hmmm.....How about this? First part....all of Drones as you describe. Part 2 13. Drum and Bass Munich/ Varia 14.Invincible ( song with slow start works better after a d+b jam, they used to do Osaka jam + Invincible at the end of 2008. 15.The Groove 16.Assassin 17. Citizen Erased 18. Ruled by Secrecy 19. Space Dementia ( guitar outro reading 2011 style, feedback going into...) 20. Interlude and Hysteria 21.Stockholm Syndrome 22. Take a Bow. Encore 23. Sunburn ( assuming you want guitar version here) 24. Survival 25. Knights of Cydonia. I think that would work nicely.
  16. Sorry, i meant outro. And Head Up and Ashamed is not that strange a combo, see V Fest 2008, RAH 2008. Microphone Fiend riff also works instead of Head Up ( see HAARP) . I have a recording of Showbiz from that same era too ( Reading, i think) Anyway, here is the perfect Drones setlist. 1. Take a bow 2. Interlude 3. Hysteria 4. Plug In Baby 5. Supermassive Black Hole 6. Map of the Problematique ( + Maggies Farm outro) 7. Munich Jam 8. Dead Inside 9. Drill Seargent 10. Psycho (+ Execution Commentary outro) 11. Mercy 12. Reapers 13. Citizen Erased 14. Micro Cuts 15. The Handler 16. JFK 17. Defector 18. Butterflies and Hurricanes 19. Revolt 20. Uprising ( long ) 21. Aftermath 22. Starlight 23. Bliss ( long ) 24. The Globalist ( + Collateral Damage outro) 25. Drones ( Tape) 26. Stockholm Syndrome 27. Knights of Cydonia ( with Man with a Harmonica intro + Space Dementia outro) 22 tracks not including tapes and interludes. Seems reasonable and plenty of regular tracks in there too. Technically MK Ultra and Apocalypse Please could go in there too.
  17. This is awesome. My dream set would be similar with the following differences Swap Deadstar and Showbiz around. Include Ashamed and Head Up intro to Showbiz. Swap Plug In Baby for Hypermusic. Remove Screenager. Add Knights of Cydonia after Showbiz. Add Munich Jam. Played before Dead Inside. Replace Ruled by Secrecy with Apocalypse Please. Add Take a Bow as encore after SS. Perfection.
