    I saw some American Idol guy cover Uprising. It was so unlike anything I had heard. I checked out their Youtube videos. I really got hooked when I was going through their Wembly gig and the Hysteria bass line hit me like a ton of bricks.

    Most albums imo are frontloaded. "The Resistance" and "Black Holes and Revelations" are my two exceptions.

    More than on songs like USoE, I can appreciate the cheese factor on Revolt. Still not anywhere close to the strongest song on the album, but it's not mind numbingly dreadful to me now.

    Revolt has grown so much on me... Matt's falsetto on let's find a way to escaaaaaape! is great.

    Or, if they're wicked obscure, try and figure out what the song is about. Muse is definitely better at being abstract than being literal. Still love the album.

    So, I found the Bones video by Moriarty with Chris thanks to this thread. I figured this would be the best place to ask, is Bones the only song he has produced or played bass on independently from Muse? I keep seeing people say he has produced a couple songs for Moriarty, but aside from Bones, I don't know what else he has done. Thanks in advance!

    This. The Globalist proves they can still write non-shitty lyrics. I hope the next album combines the three piece sound and lyrics on par with what they can do.

    That's how I would interpret Aftermath as well. And Matt did say the concept ended after Aftermath, right? Or, the protagonist has another failed relationship, says fuck this, and nukes the planet. Edit: Shit, you said Defector, not Aftermath. I did say I was tired. Edit 2: Aftermath is him glad his shitty relationship is over, and happy he found someone else.

    Spectrum Pulse gave Drones a 5/10, but he went much more in depth than needledrop. Still think Drones is a 8 to 9/10 though.

    I may just be so tired it's impairing the thing in my head that lets me think, but could the album (up to Aftermath, not counting Globalist) be a break up album? I'm not sure where Psycho fits in, maybe the significant other is becoming too commanding? If this does not make sense, say whatever your heart desires.

    For me, it's so close to being a masterpiece. If the lyrics were better or more abstract, it would be even better. It's still my third favorite Muse album though.
