    Honestly, I just think Matt's been leaning more towards writing bright, poppy music in general since BH&R imo. I don't think it's got much to do with the narrative. I'm fine with reading into and interpreting the narrative and lyrics or whatever (i.e. the whole 'babe' thing) but it's stuff like "Dead Inside is pop because that's when the protagonist was still happy" that I find a bit silly. I just think it would've sounded pretty much the same anyway.

    No, that's a pretty recent change, 2012 onwards I'd say. They used to just be scruffy teenagers and then, later on, just pretty chilled out guys. Most of the band still seem pretty normal, no idea what the fuck Alex is doing most of the time anymore though.

    I think some people are reading too much into this whole concept thing. I really doubt the band think about it that deeply. Most likely they just thought "Let's add this big fuck-off riff onto the end of it, that'll sound cool".

    Only thing I wish it had is one last Climbing Up The Walls-esque distorted scream at around 5:14. That'd just be the cherry on the cake.

    Apparently a leak is 'no can do'. If one guy's got it then I imagine other people will, if not then soon. I'm feeling a leak's pretty imminent anyway.

    I imagine songs like Madness and Resistance will be swapped out for heavier songs. They've already said Download will get special treatment of some kind (CE and Assassin specifically mentioned, assuming they remember) so I doubt there's any need to worry.

    Some source said "Muse fans, mark your calenders for Monday." Can't remember exactly what it was, only saw it briefly 'cause I was on my phone. Pretty good chance it's a stream though, I'm guessing.

    Seems like there may well be a stream on Monday anyway so, if that's right, Sunday night/Monday morning at the latest. Setlist fm isn't really the most reliable source, wouldn't advise going solely by that.

    My ticket still hasn't arrived Bought it off Get Me In 'cause I'm a nob and thought it was sold out on the website. GMI said in two confirmation emails that tickets normally arrive the week of the gig, but still, I'm getting antsy...
