  1. The people you know is a pretty small sample size in the grand scheme of things though. Madness was crazy popular in America, for instance. Probs not, if he was even telling the truth. Someone else could be though If not, we've always got Enrique Iglesias.
  2. I guess we'll find out for sure at the arena/stadium gigs when they play more songs but it looks like it. I'm actually really surprised by how little of T2L has stuck around. I expected Follow Me, Survival, Supremacy, Panic Station and Unsustainable to all stick around to some extent. Not that I'm complaining, like.
  3. Not really that big of a deal, not enough to call the whole version half-arsed imo Wanna point out that I'm not saying it's bad, just overrated and not good enough to warrant being requested all the time.
  4. Actually agree with that as well. Megalomania felt pretty powerful at Leeds, doesn't drag like CE either. The 2011 version was half-arsed? From memory, CE isn't actually particularly heavy live. Also wouldn't make sense as a rotation.
  5. Both very long songs (in Muse terms), heavy 7-string riff sections, quiet sections (middle of CE, start of TG), piano ballad outro. Not exactly the same but obviously pretty similar.
  6. It's another one of those songs that's been played pretty much non-stop since it came out (twelve years now) so it just sounds and feels tired now. Plus, it's not even as good live as it is on record.
  7. They're pretty much the same song live except Bliss is considerably better. Repeating riff to get the crowd bouncing + quiet verses + big sing-along chorus + extended solo outro. Or just replace PIB with Bliss permanently, like I said.
  8. For me, this is what they should do, setlist wise: 7-8 new songs every night. Drop Starlight, Madness (fair enough in America considering it's their biggest hit there), MWAH and Resistance. Rotate Hysteria with TIRO, New Born with US (Stockholm should be a staple), and PIB with Bliss (or just drop PIB). Maybe rotate Animals with something as well but I can't think what. Also, don't close every gig with Knights. If I had my way, I'd get rid of the new drum + bass jam as well 'cause it seems a bit pointless but that's just a nitpick.
  9. Bit far to call him a cunt. He put out quite a lot of worthwhile free content like multi-cams and gig bootlegs. His comedy's pretty low-brow and cringey and it was a bit shitty to bill the movie as something it wasn't and then disappear without saying anything but that's not enough to call him a cunt imo.
  10. Oh There was that 2.0 version that supposedly had pro-shots of Debase and that old 'Hey, you crazy kids' performance of MM. Never saw the light of day though, might've been a fib.
  11. Most of them have some element of rock to them, yeah. Depending on the festival demographic though, some of it is nowhere near enough. Plus, because some of these songs have been played at just about every gig for 10+ years, they sound tired and forced. Songs like TIRO, Hysteria, Knights, Starlight and PIB are nowhere near as good live nowadays. Even the band themselves have looked bored playing the same old hits at times. They really need to freshen it up in terms of what hits they play and how many.
  12. Ever since the whole 'Muse: The Movie' thing, he's pretty much disappeared. I'm guessing he gave up on it 'cause he found it stressful. I'm not a fan of the spoof things though so I'm kinda glad they won't be around.
  13. Undisclosed Desires, MK Ultra and Unnatural Selection are great. The rest range from meh to shit. The production makes a lot of the album sound quite flat and boring as well. But, basically: opinions.
  14. Because Chris outright said they were gonna use it as an opportunity to play different, heavier songs? That, and when fans asked the band to play Citizen Erased and Assassin on the Psycho Tour, they said they'd play them at Download.
  15. There's Jimmy Jam as well. Personally, I went with Munich in the end. For no other reason than 'Varia' sounds kinda dumb to me.
  16. ...for exactly the reason you just quoted? If everyone calls it something different, no one's gonna know which jam they're on about.
  17. Potential needless confusion, why have two names for the same jam?
