  1. I can't WAIT until she's old enough for HP. I hope she'll be a reader like me. I think I want to read them all again soon.

  2. Yeah, I used prolly on purpose. :chuckle:

*googles* Neopets. Oh. She's prolly be into that when she's older. She's into all that Webkinz crap and Barbie games.

*sigh* *googles RPing* So I take it you're a gamer, eh? Well if it forces you to use proper English, then yay! :)

All my kid cares about is Hannah Montana, not doing work, and being a pop star. I've got my work cut out for me! I was a nice quiet child who enjoyed reading and puzzles, so I'm not sure where she came from. :stunned:

  3.:ninja: Stalker!!! I'm not a fan of ossum, tbh. Prolly because it makes me think of possum. In fact I'm certain of it. :erm: I wish all the kids had wonderful grammar skillz like you.

And I didn't say anything about hating anyone! But I do worry about the ignorant youth. Esp. 'cause I'm raising one. A youth, I mean, not an ignoramus. :erm:

  4. I saw that ASIWYFA YouTube clip you posted on the Rate the Above Band thread. I'd never heard of them, but they're immense! :D Listening now on MySpace.

  5. Sorry! I don't know what made me just decide to change it. I always liked Gonzo and felt like I identified with him. He was a bit of a misfit. Hopefully it won't freak you out too bad. He's friendly! :D
  6. I posted that FB link you requested, but here it is as well: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Muse-the-Twilight-band/140511215966757 The funny thing is that mod Niall is the creater/admin but very few realize that. Most of the admin posts are totally baiting n00bs, but it's hilarious! I mean, if you're into that kind of thing. :$

  7. Oh gosh, don't worry about that! :D I didn't think anything of it! Nice to meet you, too. :)

  8. We're leaving in 15 minutes for the "parade." And I use that word loosely. I'd much rather stay home and drink some nice chilled Rose. (Mentally put an accent on the "e" there.)

  9. I think US is my favorite. It's really great live, esp. the slow bridge part. It took me a loooong time to like UD, but it grew on me, in part because of Matt's interesting moves on stage during that song. :eyebrows: I even like GL, even though obviously many people do not. Really, I like all the tracks on there, but I still wouldn't classify it as my fave Muse album. That would have to be OoS, even though I usually skip Screenager and FG. I'm glad you're liking it! :D

  10. Oh, I love Uprising! That was the 2nd song I heard from it, the first being USoE. I don't have any skippers on there, but I'll wait until you've formed an opinion before telling you my least faves. Good for you! But yeah, let it settle before forming too much of an opinion. :D

  11. You've resisted this long, what's another year? I hate jewel cases. I much prefer those soft-packs, which is what my copy of TR is in. Well, let me know what you think when you finally stop being a failure. :chuckle:

  12. Yay! Given it a listen yet?

  13. Greetings! :D

  14. I'll admit I thought you were a girl until I read that you were a tenor! :chuckle:

  15. I think Renee will do! :D Nice to meet, you Chris. I just use the Violet thing on various social networking sites so I can let my Muse freak flag fly. My real life friends wouldn't really get it. They already think I'm weird.

  16. Well, my fake Muser name is Violet Johnson. (Don't ask,), But my real name is Renee. And you? :p

  17. Hi! There are a few "older" Musers lurking around. You just know where to look. :D Feel free to stop by the "Oldies" thread in Banter sometime. :)http://board.muse.mu/showthread.php?t=71600

  18. I definitely remember doing that Ceremony of Carols ages ago, back when I was in that kid choir, like around age 12. Oh, one of my fave things I sang (sung?) in recent years was Randall Thompson's Ode to the Virginian Voyage. He's pretty well-known, but that work is rather obscure. I'd love to do that work again. I like pretty much everything I've heard by him.

I guess I can see where you'd want to branch off from the Renaissance stuff after awhile! So if your choir is merging, that would be an opportunity to have more variety? Hopefully the changes will be for the better. I know what you mean about not wanting to re-audition! I just finished my first year with my current choir and am so glad I don't have to re-audition each fall! I was a basket case because I suck at tonal memory stuff even though my sight-reading is pretty good. Two years ago I auditioned and didn't get in because there was only 1 alto spot and 4 or 5 ladies auditioned. But this year I didn't have as much competition. :D

  19. I don't think I've done the Faure. I really enjoyed the Durufle and have actually done that w/ 2 different choirs. I've done some Britten pieces, but not the War Requiem. My mind fails me on a lot of stuff I've sung. Some of it I forget about, and then years later if I sing something again, I think, oh yeah, I've done this before! It all kind of blends together after a while. As much as I love to sing sacred music, I rarely listen to it. And I think it's funny that even though I'm kind of anti-church, I have so much appreciation for religious music and art.

Good luck getting a new director. It's hard to find a good one! I like a director that is very nit-picky and demands perfection, but at the same time is not an asshole! And yeah, I'd love to join a second choir, but that would be a bit of a commute! lol :chuckle:

  20. Neat, madrigals! :D Yes, I'm an alto and love to sing! I've been in lots of choirs, starting with a community children's choir, then I went to a magnet high school that specialized in performing arts (like Fame, or Glee, ha ha...). Then onto community choirs as an adult, including one that just performed Bach exclusively. I've sung everything from Berenstein's Chichester Psalms, to negro spirituals, to Gershwin, to good ol' standards like the Mozart Requiem and The Messiah. Most recently the group I'm currently in did the Durufle Requiem. I guess my favorite things are major works like requiems. We're off for the summer, but will start back up in September. :)

  21. I was thinking about buying an Exo shirt like you have. Size-wise, how do you think they compare to the .mu forum shirt? I'm not sure what size to get. I'm still not sure I want to spring for one. I want an MK Ultra coffee mug too, but even if Pam and I share shipping, those two items would be about $43. I have a hard time justifying that. I wish they'd update the U.S. store!

  22. Just looked at Pip's photos on Setty's boat. Good god! I just want to eat him up! :stongue: I looked at her flickr page, but there's sooooo many. I think he found the best ones. I'm so excited for October I could pass out.

  23. New twitpic:

How does he look to you? Hard to tell. I enhanced the photo as best I could. His hair looks so cute!
