    I don't think it's a particularly interesting riff to begin with which is probably why I prefer the added melody of the falsetto.

    I think it was overlooked by many since it's not one of the obvious highlights of the album, but people here seem to go through the same stages pretty much at the same time. Once someone gets a bit bored of CE and discovers the awesomeness of Darkshines, so does half of the board. What I mean is basically that I love it. Especially the R/L and Hullabaloo versions.

    Assassin isn't really that heavy on the album, sadly. Kinda like Unsustainable, they ruined it in production. But yes, debase is miles better than the final version. The vocals, the vocal effects, the drums (ofc the studio drums are cool too, but the song becomes totally different) Also, early Crying Shame had a better riff, better vocals and "better" key with a very dark feel to it. The studio riff is just so cartoony.

    That's nonsense though. "From an artistic point of view"? the "artistic point of view" isn't singular. You can't just I put some B&W filter on something and say "it's artistic". There needs to be a purpose, which is just as individual as the purpose of colour. What you're saying is basically the movie equivalent of "I'm a photographer because I put a b&w filter on my Instagram photos"

    Muse always talk about how they will start working on new material two years after they started touring, then it's "We'll probably just do a few odd gigs here and there", and then I think we all know how that went in 2011 and 2014.

    It's interesting how people believe that Prelude means Survival and JFK means Defector so much that they actually think they've heard the song. I've had to prove to several people that they have in fact NOT heard Defector live. Anyway yeah, a set with 100% hits for an audience that doesn't really give a shit about Muse. Fair enough imo. Give them what they want and get out of there.
