  1. Yes, people will always complain because everyone wants different things. But what we are asking is that they don't just please the new fans or non-fans, but also the old fans who has supported Muse for years. Why shouldn't we expect more from a band that you state is the best in the world? Why should we accept 50% when Muse could easily give 80? I don't think anyone in this thread has said anything close to that. We want a MIX of the new and old, is that weird? Of course they should play their hits. Which is Starlight, TIRO, New Born, PIB, SMBH, Uprising, Feeling Good and KoC. But what about the rest of the set? What makes it so impossible to play 1-2 rarities, and 10 songs that ISN'T just the singles? - Neutron Star Collision - Unnatural Selection - I Belong To You - MK Ultra These aren't rare. They are just over a year old, from the latest album and still barely played.....oh well, people have already gone through this.
  2. Since all of your arguments has been picked apart and proven wrong, I get the feeling that you didn't read. Â And yes, I know that Muse doesn't give a shit about their old fans, glad we could agree.
  3. Stop putting words in people's mouths. No one is trash talking The Resistance. Â Read what people say before you post your ignorant arguments. Â Should a hardcore fan also blindly follow the band whatever they do?
  4. Read what people write before you post. Think about what you have written before you post. Â "They are the best band/live band in the world, what more can you expect?" Ehm....yes...what can you expect from the best live band in the world? Not much apparently.
  5. Even if Justin Bieber was better live than on record, that isn't a reason for me to buy a ticket to see him live EDIT: And besides, I don't think it would be that hard for most bands if they would only play the same 15 songs every night.
  6. I assume that you mean more boring? The last part there, "for the most part the setlists remain the same", isn't that exactly what most people are against? Using the problem as a counter-argument doesn't really work I do agree a bit though. No one is expecting Muse to pull out totally different shows every time just for the people who see them more than once. But the point still stands that many of their fans are getting ripped off. Shouldn't paying to see Muse several times be a good thing? Why would Muse want to make people NOT buy tickets to several shows by making them all exactly the same?
  7. How the hell is any of this unconstructive? Do you even know what that means? Are you saying that they can't have more than 25 songs? Because of what, their memory? If so, then why fill their short memory with covers? That isn't even close to what the people in here are talking about. And that statement is basically saying that there's no need to question anything in life, just deal with the fact that things change. What?
  8. Hmm, I'll let you off with a warning this time. But don't let it happen again!

  9. Stop being so silly.

  10. And you listen to Placebo, The Clash, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bob Dylan, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Foo Fighters, Joy Division, The Killers, Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine, The Doors, Coldplay etc? OoS WAS exploration, a lot of it. They explored a lot of new stuff that they had never tried before, but still made a pretty coherent album up until the last songs. None of the songs are very alike, but they all share the sound and genre, which to be honest, an album should. I am all for exploring, but I'd much rather see Muse evolving and progressing than constantly changing genres that has already been done 100 times.

  13. I'm pretty sure that happened more than once on the American tour, and before that in 2006 too. EDIT: Turns out I was wrong about the American Tour, damnit EDIT 2: Turns out I was right? Fuck me.

Everything Jack White touches turns to gold, just like Josh Homme.

  15. Many of the songs from Showbiz hasn't been played since the OoS-tour. Actually, they have a huge amount of songs that didn't last more than two tours, but they can play songs like Feeling Good, Plug In Baby and New Born(Even though it has been dropped a few times) at every gig. Oh and SS, TIRO and Hysteria. I am not saying that these songs should be dropped, I'm saying that the argument "It must be boring, having to play the same songs over and over again" doesn't really work when this is exactly what Muse are doing.
