Least he's able to see the funny side. Totally

I use the Reddit for lurking and do sometimes find it very useful at finding out info I didn't know, but the interface and general vibe isn't as good as here IMO. I'm not entirely sure where in TC you'd fit a full-on piano piece tbh.

Underwhelming setlist, moans about Matt dropping the guitars from another song... must be a new tour. But then to be fair, there may well be more variation when the tour proper gets going. Stage show did look cool, but could well just be the MTV thing. The knee slide fail was quite something.
-
Tbf the Drones tour had a couple of rotations here and there. Not as many as it could've done, but enough to keep it fairly interesting. Hopefully the lack of a 12 minute Globalist+Drones will allow the setlist to lengthen a little.

I don't even know what's real or not anymore. Maybe that is the modern way.

The placing of Bordeaux and the date (which is a Tuesday, for those keeping score) looks to be out to the left of the poster, which makes me wonder if its a general French tour poster that also contains Paris and Marseille shows for the following weekend/later in July. Certainly the earlier post about Ashton Gate saying they had gigs to announce in June makes me presume that's when they'll be in the UK.

Poster that's on Twitter which got picked up by the Reddit says the Bordeaux gig is on July 16th. Must be an announcement in the next 2 weeks at most on what the upcoming stadium shows are, or at least one presumes if posters are leaking.

Yes. Well that's double "oh balls" for not getting into SBE last summer. Although thinking about it, they seemed to be having more fun playing Showbiz at Reading than some of the other stuff and it got a pretty decent reception. Granted, that might just be a heavily mic'ed up front row, but still.

Tove Lo, eh? Could be... interesting. No rarities remains a disappointment though. But not unexpected, clearly, even if I imagine one or two will surface. Oh yeah. That was a fascinating track to unveil gradually, to say nothing of the Collateral Damage outro on top.

2018.12.03 Royal Albert Hall The Prince’s Trust charity Gig London, UK

Might find out day before. But they usually announce this on the day atm, right? -
I like the riff in Psycho but the repeat use of it interchanging with a beat like that of Uprising doesn't make it a strong essential IMO. Good fun live though.

I was intrigued by the Radio X chat thing they're doing in London the day before this new LP is released, but I equally figure I won't get out of work in time to make it or get confirmation in advance enough to get the day off. With "Careful Now" outro

Didn't know this but the Rod Stewart and Take That dates already announced for Ashton Gate are in late May. Must be a busy old summer there if they've got more on top of those 2 dates and Muse.

I get the feeling that Fleetwood Mac having a Wembley show on sale this week means its likely there won't be another UK stadium run going on sale this week. But then maybe I could well be wrong... have been before I'm still wanting to do something else to London though, much as I like the idea of it being the Olympic Stadium as I had a good time seeing Depeche Mode there last year. Instinct still leans towards the idea of doing a European show instead, or even the slightly stranger idea of going to New York. Although I like the idea of Manchester, as I've never been up there for concert purposes. I'll figure something out... maybe

I feel like it would've surfaced by now, but in case I missed it, is there a credit for Timbaland on Pressure?

Yeah that little video was very nice. I like the idea of a 50-50 version for Something Human live where it starts with just Matt acoustic and then sees the rest of the band join in.

Oh my bad. I thought the article made reference to the Hartwall Arena. Clearly I wasn't paying attention.
-
Maybe, but I swear there was an article somewhere they were going to play Helsinki at an indoor arena.

Indeed. But even so, I still found 2018's more appealing by virtue of having no Mumfords. Vienna was one that jumped out to me, if only because that was on my list of "European places I want to visit". Sziget Festival in Budapest as well, maybe? The suggestion of Lollapalooza Berlin is also decent, although apparently there'll be a Lollapalooza Stockholm debuting in 2019. Would've thought they could be a suitable big name to launch that one.
-
I would have been more interested by a stronger range of other headliners. As it is, it feels like a downgrade on the one earlier this year. Also, as Matt has said there will be other performers (hinting maybe dancers), I'm intrigued to know how this would translate to a festival setting. Assuming of course that remains the plan.
