  1. Unsustainable came back at one of the festivals earlier this year and seems to be sticking around. Though given Matt needs a vocal break song now, I'm surprised there wasn't one on the new album.
  2. Forget all about the stream so tuned in during Unsustainable. Been inconsistent - some moments have been great and some have been laggy as fuck. Just then in Thought Contagion where they were halfway through the riff, then straight into halfway through the opening verse.
  3. Just for the hell of it... 1. Knights of Cydonia 2. Hysteria 3. Pressure 4. The Dark Side 5. Map of the Problematique + riff 6. Bliss (extended) Isolated System 7. Psycho 8. Supermassive Black Hole 9. Starlight 10. Dig Down (Gospel) 11. Unsustainable 12. Madness 13. Thought Contagion 14. Time is Running Out 15. Uprising 16. Algorithm 17. Dead Star 18. Stockholm Syndrome + riffs
  4. Seetickets/Gigs&Tours (same company) had extra GA ones for the already confirmed UK shows when I last checked. The slow sale makes me think these 3 will be enough. Even if I've seen a few comments still saying they want a Scottish date added.
  5. Muse are performing in Bristol on the Simulation Theory World Tour. Pre-sale is on December 5th, with a store pre-sale at 8am and members from 9am. General sale is from December 7th at 9am. Further details here: http://www.muse.mu/news/bristol-ashton-gate-stadium-276981 Thread is for attendees.
  6. I do find myself changing the line in Thought Contagion every now and again. Almost down to not thinking its a good idea to invoke in what is, at heart, a pop song. Saying that, I do also kinda get the idea as to why its there, if only because of the way in the last five years or so that the Internet and online conspiracies has ultimately ended up desensitising a frightening large number of people to the point where they're willing to bring up such dark shit without even thinking its wrong to do so. But I do think the wording is still clumsy to justify its insertion.
  7. Would be cool and I know Matt is a fan, but would probably depend on how busy they are.
  8. A giant arcade machine would certainly be different. Magnets would be cool but I've always wondered if that would cause problems with gear/microphones, or indeed metal possessions of security and adjacent audience members if it goes wrong.
  9. Wonder who could be an opening act... not really sure who's around next year.
  10. I quite liked Guiding Light for a while but its one of the few Muse tracks I think sounded better in studio than on record. Which kinda killed my enthusiasm for it. Big Freeze is the primary one I can think of worse. Quite like Chris' T2L songs and Explorers, so I'm not going to note those down. Aftermath I'm unsure of because I skip it as reflex and have since forgotten what it sounded like. Which is weird. Might need to cram Showbiz - haven't really listened to half of it for a very long time.
  11. Only thing I could think of was a full-on group of towers that light up to make a neon skyscape like the end of The Dark Side video. Though be something to try re-creating the high school gym in the Pressure vid.
  12. Impressive. Good to see that such extensive work is going into it. Hopefully the finished product isn't too far away, although I'm presuming it'll still be a while.
  13. … true. Tbf I'm still surprised New Kind of Kick playback was actually a thing.
  14. I imagine we're still getting Isolated System and maybe even Unsustainable. Not sure if another D&B jam too. I'm also intrigued if the B-stage means a revival of the stuff done on the Unsustainable Tour, and what would be used for that. … hopefully not yet more Guiding Light. Yeah I agree with that. Particularly this idea of it being 15 minutes, given the length of that exceeds The Globalist.
  15. I really don't like my odds of getting anything for this one. I'm not sure if that's going to happen ever.
  16. Certainly I have heard Uprising at football a couple of times - indeed, when I went to one match in 2016, the chorus was playing when the teams walked out. Plus a few tracks on sporting videos, including one from 2012 earlier that had bits of Isolated System, Follow Me and Unsustainable, and I seem to recall having heard Butterflies & Hurricanes and Apocalypse Please. But equally, Pressure feels like a new sporting breakout track for the US market. Especially the whole marching band thing.
  17. I could see a Hysteria/TiRO rotation at some point. But of the two Time is Running Out seems to be the more consistent at crowd bouncing and can imagine that's less likely to be dropped, not least given Hysteria was on rotation for most of The 2nd Law tour before being bumped back up to staple on Drones.
  18. I'd like that more tbf. The verses are quite nice and I don't mind the Tove Lo vocals but the chorus is sub-par. Although the "Warped Tour but in the 80s" line in the song's individual thread is perhaps the fairest comment. Though I will note a personal intrigue that Matt mentioned in the Radio X chat Shellback was a full-on metalhead who was in various Swedish rock bands and was even in the crowd for an Origin of Symmetry gig out there, and is now Taylor Swift's biggest contributor... that's a hell of a career trajectory.
  19. Kept thinking the Den shows in Teignmouth pre-Resistance were the last Devon gigs before recalling they did Exeter on the Psycho Tour. That would be quite cool though. Or indeed if they somehow ended up in a position to play both concerts. But then not sure how complex the stage-show is, or indeed if the plan was to bring multiple stages.
