Which parts? I can go through each bit if I can remember... It's a shame my rig is in bits at the moment Foot controller = £100 Behringer rack modulation unit = £40 Rack synth = £40 G Lab MIDI 2x Looper x2 = £150 Peterson Sonuus-G2M V2 = £80 Labtop running guitar rig and interface = £400 I got a few bits from eBay which explains the low price for a few things also. eBay is definitely your friend for this stuff! That's all rough, I've probably missed a few things also. If you need anymore info let me know

You're going to struggle to get anything close to Matt's sound using your amp and guitars. Matt's sound mostly comes from the amps he uses and the pickups in his guitars. Have you got any songs you'd like to replicate the tone of in-particular?

I've always just tuned to AEADGBE and just used the low A for more beef.

I've heard a lot of bad things about Sims recently...

That looks great. It just shows what difference taking your time and caring about what you produce has. Both of you must be so pleased how that turned out.

Anyone got a couple of decent guitar straps they wouldn't mind parting with?

Any of the midi files should work with any DAW, it should just be a case of learning how to arm midi files and selecting the correct output.

There is a dedicated thread for this gig here: http://board.muse.mu/showthread.php?t=88449

Setting the midi tempo to 250 does the trick.
-
Yeah pc control the preset but it would need to be set to the correct preset to start with as there are no pc commands in the midi to change to the correct preset.
-
The different whammy settings are controlled by pc changes not cc. This midi file has no pc changes and the pattern seems way off also.

+1?

That's the one I have and it may load right but it doesn't sound right at all.

I'll try and get it working tonight using your midi file and let you know if mine sounds okay. I'm using Reaper also so I should be able to help you troubleshoot any issues. Bear with me Update: I don't think that midi track is right at all, there are no program changes and it's not even the same length as the song.

I remember one of the first guitar's I ever GASsed for was a tele plus I saw on this very board. Beautiful guitars!

There is no need to pay anyone on here, we are all willing to help. First you need to get yourself a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), I'd recommend Reaper as it's free but there are many more out there (Cubase, Logic, Nuendo, etc). Once you've done that you need to load the midi file into it and set the output of that track to the midi interface. That should just about be it. There will be plenty of tutorials available for your chosen DAW regarding midi so make sure to skim read a few to familiarise yourself.

Have you got it the whammy set to the correct channel?
-
I fixed it, for some reason Reaper was automuting the midi track. Weird!
-
I'm getting this now. What was the fix?

What's the best tab for this? (The drop part)

That silver MoC is a good replica, I'd expect you to at least break even on it.
