KROQ plays Muse quite often here in southern California, but the other day they played SMBH and Starlight in a row, and the DJ mentioned House of the Rising sun and told people to download it... hehe.

I don't think they're coming back to the states other than the Vegoose festival... ...but if they really are playing MSG, I'm definately going.

Haha, I'm more of a Main Muser than a Kit and Tabber, but... Yeah I got to go to the Forum gig, and the gig here two weeks ago too. And yeah, new album due out 2009 is what Matt says.

I don't know about carbosticks... I think I'd prefer the chunks of wood getting everywhere rather than a powder. I guess I'll buy a pair though.

Yeah I usually get Vic Firths or Vaters... Not sure why I never tried Pro-Mark, they're sweet! haha. Apparently Dom uses Pro-Mark Marco Minneman 721's or something too, haha. 721's thickness is about inbetween 5B's and 5A's... I might try that out too. edit: Actually MM 721's have 3 or 4 different thicknesses.... grr.

So I just bought a pair of Pro-Mark 5B's... After first I freaking hated them, but now I like them quite a bit. I like the feel more than 5A's now. They're more powerful too, hehe.

YouTube hates me. I got one strike against my account for copyright infringement after uploading that one clip of Matt when he was 12. Yet, the other 5 clips of the same thing uploaded by other people are still there. Gr. Anyway, I got my cymbal stand today, and it's the sturdiest piece of equipment I've got ATM. It was only $35. It doesn't wobble like all my other stands... -_- I would record Knights of Cydonia and such but I've got a whole mess of coursework. Bleh.

I had some House M.D. clips and a Coldplay vid up. It was stupid because the House vids that I put up were already available through IGN.com, legally. Nothing about the muse covers though. I did have about 20, though. And Ruled By Secrecy--I did mean the snare. I meant ghost notes on the snare, and the triplet stuff of sorts on the ride, or whatever it is. Nice job! Besides the syncing going all crazy, I caught a few mistakes, but nothing too bad. I've gotta say though--you've got an awkward technique. When you hit the snare, you don't let the stick rebound and you rest the stick on the head. I'm not sure what that does to the sound but it's not that big of a deal, I think. Nice set btw. Didn't you say you had a Tama Superstar? Oh yeah, on a different subject, my new favorite song to play is Ruled By Secrecy. I played through it for the first few times today and I friggin' love it! Haha. The ghost notes and the triplets (or whatever they are) on the ride are fun.

^Haha. Well, I'm waiting for my cymbal stand so I can finally have more than one crash to play, heh. I planning to record Knights of Cydonia, Assassin (GOB), Space Dementia, Apocalypse Please, Butterflies & Hurricanes and Stockholm Syndrome once it comes in. I already had a vid of SS but it's gone since my old youtube account was deleted. I had a whole mess of muse guitar covers too. edit: oh yeah and Glorious too... And does anyone know how to play Eternally Missed? I'm having a little trouble with the cross-sticking part.

Has anyone here heard of Istanbul cymbals? Handmade in Turkey... I heard they're awesome, but I haven't heard them for myself live. I've heard sound clips though. haha, I'm using the tom arms the other way around--the part that is supposed to go into my bass drum is going into my tom. The other side was too short. And I used to have a crappy double pedal, yeah, heh. The music room is nice--it used to be our third car garage. Sadly, we have to tear out a bit of the ceiling soon cuz there's a water leak in there! haha. You should try it--tis fun to play. I'll lend you some tape...
