fadeddusk
Highest is an A#5 in the radio 3 performance (Hey you crazy kids performance) of muscle museum and lowest is A2 in spiral static
fadeddusk
So there's still no clear answer as to how many octaves he can sing in. Heard somewhere that men's voices change and can lose their higher and gradually go deeper- anyone know if that's true? Any evidence of this with Matt so far over the years? Would be a hell of a loss if he couldn't do the high notes as well in the future. He is at 3 octaves, and the falsetto at the beginning of KoC is a good hint that he can still reach those notes
xbroken_ideals
Probably Microcuts. He hits the highest note in Showbiz.

Tofu
Yeah, but that was never officially released... Was it? I don't think so. Well, either way the point is he hit it.
ninsp
It's gonna suck as Matt gets older and can't hit the high notes. Will be weird. Although Yorke still hit pretty high notes on In Rainbows, and he's about 42 now, but still...
wombat_714
It's gonna suck as Matt gets older and can't hit the high notes. Will be weird. Isn't this why they don't perform Showbiz anymore??
ninsp
I doubt it. Considering Micro Cuts will probably be broken out every now and then still, and he doesn't really struggle singing the high notes in Exogenesis, he probably could if he wanted. Tofu
He hit a G5 very briefly at Edmonton about three weeks ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C35UjO43sB4 at 3:09.
Kazza3
And the really high 'aahs' at the end of Butterflies & Hurricanes live is very high, close to the top, and he still can do that.

harry-reading-2011
surely matt's falsetto's can't be counted in his range?
FearAndPanic
surely matt's falsetto's can't be counted in his range? We usely try to stipulate, eg. his chest voice spans such and such, which can be extended to whatever with falsetto.
