_Ed_
It's Oren. He made a snow angel...not sure how appropriate that was in a cemetery. I just had my last fortnightly meeting with my soon-to-be-ex-boss. We went to the cafe and she bought me some congratulatory cake. Having to change bosses is the only downside of this promotion thing. But I think my new boss is awesome as well.

Michelle
Big Day Out timetable. No clashes for me Don't think I'll get there til after lunch though, everyone I want to see is 3pm and onwards.
_Ed_
Cool, thanks for posting that! No direct clashes for me, but I might have to miss Shihad to get to the front for TNAF. You're right about the early part of the day. There's nothing much at all early on apart from The Greenhornes.
Michelle
Haven't heard anything from The Greenhornes, may have to check them out then. I just have the decision to make on whether to leave LCD Soundsystem early to get close for The Phoenix Foundation and Grinderman. But if it's true that it is LCD's last tour it'll be a shame to miss their full performance.
lensip max
I have to sell my ticket. Some family stuff has come up - well, actually it's residual family stuff from when my uncle died in August bubbling over again - and I can't make it. Beginning to think I might be under a no-big-day-out-for-you-ever curse.
_Ed_
Sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed that you can make it to next year's BDO! Wish there was something we could do to ensure it.
Michelle
Sorry to hear that too Hope all goes well with the family stuff and that you will get to a BDO one day!
JoBear
I was supposed to be going out for dinner tonight as a Christmas thing with my workmates but my boss has sent an email asking me to cancel due to the snow. I was going to go into work at lunchtime but now I don't see much point...stay at home then?
lensip max
Man, me too. Family, though. People die in waves. This year there were 16 funerals. Had to get a bangle repaired in town. The jewellers got all excited and Antiques Roadshow-y over it, because it's liek, fancy and old school and Russian and stuff (apparently. I had no idea. All I could say was like 'Uh, yeah, I guess that would make sense. We've got Russian and Hungarian heritage... Idk what it's made of, my aunty gave it to me...' and so on) And then they told me off for having broken it in the first place
Super Sammy!
Wow, MIA is headlining the Boiler Room? That's a bit...anti-climatic and out of place I would've guessed LCD Soundsystem would have headlined it. At least this BDO they were clever about timing the Boiler Room/Green Stage headliners, last BDO Fear Factory played 45 minutes of their set before people even got away from Muse I remember seeing a crowd of about 300 people for Fear Factory, if that... _Ed_
Fuck yeah, don't have to go to work. I have to stay late tonight because the Tonight news has been pushed back to 11:30 by The Shawshank Redemption. That's hardly the world premiere, is it? For fuck's sake. JoBear
They must play Shawshank at least 2 times a year and it's so ridiculously long with ads. Find it hard to believe that no one would have seen it by now.
JoBear
The annoying thing is I'm supposed to have taken 48 hours of annual leave before Christmas Eve but can only manage 24.5 even taking the whole of today off. Stupid labour laws in this stupid country.
Spy Fox
It's seriously about 22 degrees here still Still considering the BDO, if I can find others who are interested. I'd love to see Kody & Bic. I was just reading about them.
JoBear
when i looked at stuff when i woke up it was like 26 degrees in christchurch at half 10 at night...it's apparently -2 degrees here.
Spy Fox
I don't know which I'd prefer, to be honest. This heat is killing me in bed!
JoBear
i think the cold is better as you can at least warm yourself up. i find it hard to cool down when i'm too hot.

Me Rug I Sty
People think I'm weird for preferring the cold then again, I haven't really experienced much less than just below 0, and that's only been for a few hours in mornings...

JoBear
I had an argument with her at the time Paul Henry resigned as she went for the "he's just saying what we're all thinking"...if so, go back to England then because you have a UK passport if that's how we're all supposed to think and feel as New Zealanders. _Ed_
Sir Anand is more of a NZer than Paul Henry, for fuck's sake - Henry spent several years of his youth in England. I should be in bed. But it's still so hot. But I should at least try.
