2013.11.30 - Perth Arena, Perth, Australia

Seems like a decent turn out then. I was under the impression that Muse have become less popular in Aus since the last tour.

I don't think they've become less popular. Rather they were the last major band to announce their December tour. Stadium tours by Bon Jovi & Taylor Swift would stretch people's budgets. :)

Look forward to reading tonight's show reviews.

So just came home from the Perth gig, amazing!

You guys really know how to rock a stage! Epic gig.

However, I can't help feeling a tad disappointed, the piano was out but I didn't hear the piano solo from Butterflies and Hurricanes! The only disappointment on an otherwise amazing show :)

Really awesome night, still the best live band I've seen.

The setlist was 7 out of 10 for me, a few older songs which was nice.

Good

- Citizen Erased

- The crowd during Plug in Baby, the first time everyone really got involved

- No Guiding Light

- Hyper Music was a nice surprise

- They're as tight as ever and Matt is more outgoing on stage these days

- Birds of Tokyo were brilliant, the crowd lighting up the place during Lanterns was great

- Perth Arena, first time there and it's fantastic

Bad

- No New Born, MoTP or SS

- No keytar for Undisclosed Desires

- The crowd took a long time to get involved

- $50 for a t-shirt

A few pics I got:

Definitely the best gig I've been to.

Got there round 3:30pm - I was about 150th in line. Still managed to get 2nd row centre, on the B-stage, a very good spot to be actually. You get a really good overview of the entire band and stage setup.

Positives:

- Citizen Erased - absolutely amazing and a total surprise. Even though the 7-string malfunctioned in the middle it was still worth it.

- Sunburn and Hyper Music were surprises too.

- Crowd was getting quite into it overall.

- Perth Arena staff were really good with handing out water etc

- Birds of Tokyo were surprisingly good.

Negatives

- No NB/SS/MOTP but can't really complain given above.

Bring on Sydney and Brisbane! Can't wait to hear some more rarities!

Citizen Erased AND Hyper Music. Absolutely incredible, thought for sure i'd never get to see HM live, but to get to see both of my favourite songs of all time live was awesome. Swear i heard Matt say something along the lines of "lucky, lucky" after HM.

Sunburn fantastic too. No SS or New Born was a bummer but at least i've seen those a couple times already. Would like to see Liquid State live at some point too!

Overall, a really awesome gig! Thanks Muse!

BEST LIVE GIG EVER.

Got there at 11am to line up. Was number 57 in the line by that stage. People got there at 7am to lineup! Crazy.

Got a great spot on the rail right in front of Chris.

The setlist was the greatest setlist I could have ever dreamt of!!!

Citizen Erased! Sunburn! Hyper Music! Unnatural selection!

The crowd was so full of life and I went absolutely mental all night! I felt bad for all the people around me as I just went nuts :D

I have now seen the songs I've always dreamt of seeing :) Really really really beyond happy!
