Good suggestions there but I’d say a nipple rub, especially at the start of Uprising, always works best

Still a bit annoyed that Dig Down is on the album — A: with it being a pretty bad song and B: with it being 18 months old by the time the album will come out. But other than that, I’m really really looking forward to the album (except for seeing the cover more frequently ) hyped

Not had much chance to comment as I’ve been away this week but what a great song! I was a bit sceptical when I heard the solo on instagram as it all sounded a bit random but with the chordal accompaniment it makes total sense. As others have said way before me, the chord progressions remind me of Space Dementia and could fit right in the OOS era.

I love Something Human as much as anyone but to dismiss people who have differing opinions as “haters” is a bit far. That’s why we have messageboards, to discuss our thoughts whether in agreement or not

I doubt it for lead vocals

When they did it with Futurism, the ride cymbal in common with both songs made the transition flow really well, but with Showbiz there’s nothing like that and it’d just sound massively out of place imo

In your clip the muting isn’t executed as well as the 2004 gigs I mentioned Nah in all seriousness all the different variations of intro, bridge etc all sound great. For favourite all time performance though I’d have to stick with Earls Court night 2 though (has to best falsetto as well imo)

If that’s what we’re talking, I’d go Glasto 2004 or Earls Court night 2 all the way

Amazing performance, only tiny parts I’d say are superior in other versions are that on the Psycho Tour I think he did the F#5 (although in those gigs the vocals weren’t as consistent throughout the song as a whole iirc), and the behind-the-nut scratch. Also, I love the arpeggio-type parts at the end of the riff he does live, should have made it onto the studio version

I think that in the case of a non-single release prior to the album’s release, it’d still be on the album, just not classed as a single (eg. The Handler) Edit: sweet

Going back to a much earlier post btw, but when did the title Blockade become known? First I’d heard of that one when I saw your post

Escape isn’t really the best comparison, great song alike. Overdue?

Yeah, I never realised that they used it for any European gigs, just assumed that he had the guitar on him the whole time from what I’d seen and the gig I was at
