    Why can't it be the Reading Gig where they played everything from OoS or something. Eurosport Germany sometimes play an instrumental version of Big Freeze which is surprisingly decent.

    I shall proudly declare the definition. It's about the melody. At least once someone said that to me when I asked. hard rock = melodic riffs metal = non-melodic riffs But what is hardcore then? Ask the metal archive!

    I always thought the OoS songs depict different states of mind. Bliss Space Dementia Micro Cuts (It's literary a nightmare) Megalomania It's weird, but makes some sense to me

    The speculated two minute version of Psycho might have been a good song Even Defector gets a new idea/ solo thing before the main riff gets too repetitive.

    Do we really talk about the localization of a 20 year old game with kinda ridiculous sci-fi elements. Kinda like Muse MGS walks the line between the ridiculous(!!) and the serious(??) Grab your popcorn and enjoy. Maybe I just enjoy the ridiculous elements of both more than other people.

    I greatest fear is probably playing this very game with Drones as its potential soundtrack. I don't think Kojima localizes his own games. Could sound more poetic in the Japanese version.

    And thanks to Fabri he even knows know it's actually a shit album. But I kinda understand Fabri, he wanted to love this album probably even more than other Muse fans. He wanted, but love is not forever it seems.

    It will probably a pretty fair review. He knows what Muse is and how to judge what they do. And I always felt that he has a soft spot for some Muse magic.

    The solo/bridge in The Handler has the perfect length. It needs every second of it.

    For me, the delivery is more important than the actual lyrics in a Muse song. The lyrics in songs like Reapers, The Handler and Defector are decent enough though. Further, it helps when questionable lyrics are accompanied with a good amount of ridiculousness, like the harmonies in the chorus of Defector, or the chorus of Reapers in general. It just fits the lyrical content. That's exactly why I vastly prefer Survival to Animals. Don't like the delivery in Animals much, whereas in Survival he nailed it.

    I can definitively understand the Amplifier comparisons. That riff is just deliciously bouncy. Makes me almost wish that Amplifier would use more vocal harmonies.

    Listened to Reapers, The Handler and Defector. I am a bit surprised how Psycho could happen. It's like there were no good song ideas left for Psycho, just a riff. Needless to say, I still don't like Psycho.

    That guy has a science degree. I remember that he told me that he learned English from Muse lyrics, but I'm not entirely sure. I know your fighting for a "pleasant environment", but I think mods do a good job. You can't really ban snarky or annoying posts (don't forget that is entirely subjective) and the like. but be sure that they keep an eye on stuff like that. Like the others said, ignore users whose posts you dislike. That's it.

    Dead Inside is like an improved version of Big Freeze in every way possible. Even Dee likes it now. (Comparison comes from the demanding vocals)

    Didn't listen to that much albums from this year. Maybe 5 or so albums. But when I did it strangely was post-rock. :chuckle:
