    Digging Reapers this time. The outro is still a little WTF, but it is nice and heavy. Should have closed with Assassin +SS and riffs though. Fuck I'm trying to grab the audio and my WiFi keeps cutting out.

    Which sucks for those of us in the less populated areas. We are pretty close to a secondary market, but its still two hours away and requires $for travel not to mention childcare. The closest major market is about a 10 hour drive. Its rough out here.

    I feel like a heavier drum part would enhance the song and complement the riff just beautifully a la Space Dementia, CE, and hell even the post Stockholm 0305030 riff live.... So.....

    Live they were really kicked up a notch on the second US leg of the last tour. It was the first thing I noticed. I don't know if they were mic'd differently or if they programmed some effects but they sounded better. Now, as far as what Dom is actually playing? Yeah, I don't think he's always living up to his potential when we are talking about heavy stuff. The intricacies and polyrhythm on Animals and Save Me were testament to Dom's skills, I don't know why it feels like he's holding back on Psycho.

    I wondered if they'd do the smaller venues here, but somehow I doubt it. The winter US leg is probably the extension of the arena tour which no doubt is starting in fall in Europe.

    After a couple days of sitting with it, there are two things that bug me. The drums (its basically Uprising, which would be fine but they don't sound as good... I don't know if its a production issue or...), and the solo. Matt held back. Perhaps because he was self conscious about doing one as heavy as the song calls for after having said those things about guitar solos in the past? I don't know. My ears wanted something more. But I like it.
