Stockholm was definitely the highlight of the Wembley gig I went to and Reading. This probably isn't controversial, but I wish Matt would do the screams from the studio version live.

Yeah. They don't need a particularly raw treatment (I doubt that, say, Kurt Ballou would get the best results out of Muse), but less gloss would be good.

Found a pretty good metal act who might interest you (the link being in your boat). Kinda remind me of Deftones at points with the way they balance the heavy stuff and melodies. On the verge of just being pop-metal, but with more brains and complexity. You heard any decent stuff lately? -
I think you're looking at it wrong. To me, it's not cruelty or deliberately causing suffering- it's efficiency and ruthlessness, to the point that some would consider it inhuman.

I'm spending my holiday looking for work (I need to look at graduate schemes now) for the most part. Hopefully that'll give me the funds to do fun stuff. -
Apparently Kvelertak are taking the next US leg off, hopefully they'll join them for the UK.

According to my little brother, it's been announced at Sonisphere that Mastodon are going on a UK tour this autumn
No word on the lineup, but I imagine there's a decent chance of Gojira and Kvelertak. Maybe Red Fang too, as they released an album recently.

I don't think there's any one gig that made Muse a mainstream act, although Glasto was certainly a significant moment in that process.
