  1. What effects are you using for that very start riff? Sounds close to Matt's ~04ish SS tone
  2. Pretty pleased with how this turned out. First attempt at putting a guitar together (so I used Warmoth for the neck and body blank . And made it a Mattocaster.) Color changing light b/c of the toan, of course. I didn't have time to get the finish all nice looking before heading back to college, so that'll have to wait until the summer. Taken with my camera http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v238/scomo13/Guitar/
  3. Does anyone have a tab of the heavier part of Hoodoo handy? Musewiki and almost all the tabs on ultimate guitar seem to think that there's only an intro and an outro for guitar. If no one has it already figured out I'll just listen to it a few times and watch what Chris does on H.A.A.R.P. Just wanted to check before working it out
  4. When I first heard that I had to try it out on piano too cause it sounded so awesome. Even though I can't play piano. I just listened to what it sounded like he was playing and I'm pretty sure it's right. I'm not sure what he does on the left hand, but I play the bass line with my pinky and thumb (octave for each note): B E F# D, B E F# lower B. And then on the right hand I do a repeated pattern of : F# D B then G D B then A D B, then back to F# D B then G D B then F# D B. that's how I play it, at least. It could be wrong, could be wrong (but it sounds alright) just getting the rhythm right is something you can easily toy around with.
  5. Hello!

First of all, thanks for responding. You'd think I would have received many responses, but actually your the first. I suppose when I make an account just to request something like this, people tend to take it less seriously. It's difficult to do this as I said, my gf is a huge Muse fan, and she monitors this forum, as well as MuseLive. So I had to be sneaky, lol.

Well, to answer your question. It depends I suppose. We got their somewhat early. Not super early, but still before opening band. We saw them in Calgary at the Saddledome. And they still had the hoodie in stock.....just not her size. But we only checked the one merch stand, and I believe there are about 3 or more. I usually try to get there 15 min before the doors open. And the price....hmmmm id say its about 60-100 somewhere in there. Maybe 80? I cant remember correctly. Like I said, id be more than willing to pay you a bit of a markup if you can do this for me.

We can work out the logisitics of picking it up after. The thing is that it says "Limited Edition" on it, so I cant guarantee its even gonna be available. I imagine it would cause its still 2010, its still North America, and its still the Resistance tour. So no, I dont think the merch sold out right away, but sizes may. If your like me, a large/xl hoodie is pretty easy to come by. But an XS/S hoodie, like what my GF wanted, might be harder to find. But like I said, multiple merch booths, plus if your going to two shows, you have a really good chance provided its on sale.

So yeah I really hope this reaches you in time. If you could a Small sized hoodie, that would be awesome. If not, anything bigger would probably be alright, shes used to wearing my hoodies so I dont think shed care lol. Thanks again man! And have a great show! Please email me if you have any luck. And we can discuss me picking it up. Ill be driving through MN to Mineapolis on the 17th, so well figure that out!

    Thanks!

  6. Hey there,

I've been reading the forums for a while, haven't ever posted, though, but I saw your post in the Minneapolis gig thread, and I'll be going to it. I have a question though. This will be my first Muse gig (FINALLY), and I'm taking my younger sister, so I got seats instead of going GA, so I won't be lining up early or anything. At the gig you were at did the stuff sell out really quickly before the gig or was it mostly after? Cause, not gonna lie, that's a pretty awesome sweatshirt. I wasn't planning on getting there earlier than 7:30ish, but if everything sells by then I think I'd want to. How much is the sweatshirt anyway? I'm at college here at Notre Dame, but I live in Minnesota and I'll be arriving in the cities on the afternoon of the 17th for fall break, so that should work too, if you still need someone to help you out.

So yeah, basically, did the merch sell out right away? If so, I won't be waiting in line, the earliest I'd get there is probably 6 or 6:30 when the doors open, so if it does sell out quick, everyone ahead of me would get there first, so maybe I'm not the best man for the job. Let me know. I'll also be going to the Milwaukee gig the next day, too, so I'd have a second chance to get it, provided they restock overnight.
