  1. It does look fantastic but the rain as well put me off majorly, I can't deal with mud anymore after Leeds 2013. If I had the money I probably would of went just a bit tight right now after just finishing uni last week so have no income whatsoever The sound looks incredible going by some of the youtube videos
  2. Glad I didn't end up going, the setlist is decent but I'm only really jealous of Micro Cuts and Citizen Erased. Everything else (except the new Drones songs which I'm sure I'll see on the arena tour or at Bestival) I've seen pretty recently so I'm not too fussed. Obviously I'd loved to of been there but it would of cost me about £110 so fuck that Micro Cuts looks amazing on youtube though
  3. This, Muse won't get bottled even if they play a standard set. Muse aren't hated by metal fans, they just (usually) aren't a fan of them. MCR on the other hand That was following Slayer though
  4. Nah it's this year. Just Muse won't be announced for Bestival until after Download. Bestival will have an agreement with Download in which they won't announce them until after the latter so that it creates more demand for Download. If they announced them now there would be quite a few Muse fans who would decide not to bother buying Download tickets (e.g. Me as I'm already going to Bestival so there's no point me wasting another £100+ to see a very similar set). It happens quite a lot with festivals for example that recent lollapalooza berlin gig has been known for quite a while but wasn't able to be announced due to some other german festival
  5. If they play all those fan favourite songs at a festival where they know the typical audience member isn't a fan of Muse and then at their actual gigs were fans want to hear those rarities they instead play stuff like Guiding Shite I will not be happy
  6. ah I just assumed it was the same as other festivals that use the token system, fairplay if you get any extra credit back into your bank account then. It'll make the bar trips much quicker and more efficient
  7. It's a terrible idea, you'll get left with leftover credit that you can't claim back. It's just another way of conning people out of more money I think I've decided not to go to this but all these talks of heavy setlists are tempting me
  8. I've only seen Muse at a festival once (Leeds) I didn't get to the mainstage until the act befores (elbow) final song and was a few rows from the front. None of this queuing/getting there early gives any benefit at all to where you end up really (unless you want the barrier then you do have to get there early dor that). I remember that I used to always queue up for gigs so I could get a good space. These days I'm usually not there until the support act is over and I'll be in a similar position in the crowd as to where I was when queuing
  9. It doesn't sound anything like it unfortunately, I'm just saying the song is a let down
  10. I'm sorry for the Radiohead comparisons but every time I hear The Globalist I just think of this
  11. If I go (I'm going from Manchester) the best way is coach to Nottingham than there's a sky link bus from there to the festival site, returning I'm getting the sky link bus to Leicester and then the coach back to manchester getting home at 7am, woooo
  12. The "long song with a fairly calm 1st section, heavy middle section and then very calm ending section" type of song is really good when done right The following song goes flaccid after going heavy as fuck but is still fantastic
  13. I'm with this, I was enjoying it until the 3rd part, ruins the song completely. One of the worst on the album imo solely due to the last segment
  14. Yer people have a lot of opinions when it comes to music Here is an example of a wrong opinion My opinion is the right opinion
  15. Butterflies and Hurricanes is the best song Muse have ever written, don't compare this shite to it
  16. but then you get some acts that actually want to put on a great show instead of phoning it in http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/system-of-a-down/2011/donington-park-castle-donington-england-7bd326e4.html
  17. Worst of the 5 so far, impressive vocals but boringgggg, the exciting part of it is a sub-par In Your World riff
