  1. New Born is my favorite Muse riff so I hope it stays around more.
  2. Way faster than The 2nd Law era's version and that's what matters.
  3. I more expect Matt to play Feeling Good at a request show than to actually play the piano on New Born.
  4. Damn it Matt crank up the Fuzz Factory for the solo. At least the post-solo section sounds cool.
  5. I want to second what Little Animal hinted at and extend what I mentioned before regarding the news and marginalized people, because I have mostly in the past few years drifted away from TV and a lot of their online counterparts in favor of something more curated to what I at least consider to be respectable quality. Had I remained with the standard TV news cycle, which is still massively popular, I do think I would have a much different and more fearful view of the world. This is at least based off the times I do end up in front of a standard news program. There was the mention that ignoring problems is how Trump got elected, but I also remember how much attention Trump got back when he was just entering the race because his controversy got more views. I remember how every time I'd see a major station cover it made me question how idiotic they could sound to topics I know less of. I remember how in the aftermath of Charlottesville I saw more features on antifa, because they're scary and masked despite having no centralization or major political influence. Even recently I notice the nationwide shock as high schoolers ask politicians about their ties to the NRA while remembering the stations now covering this were then more interested in spamming the kids for photo credits while being shot at. I don't discredit the field as the administration has done, because there's plenty of counter-examples to what I gave. But behind it all I don't get the feeling I'd really be informed. It feels more like the news is selling outrage and debate rather than properly engaging with it. It leaves the hard questions dumbed down, the biggest problems glossed over, and the final points made just digestible enough that you won't leave your couch. In this regard I would agree more with the Muse song, but with the addition to engage yourself more instead of less. Maybe Bellamy would agree, but there's honestly not nearly enough out there to get a true stance out of him. Here I'm more replying to other users.
  6. It has to be one of my favorite concepts for the song too. The words are not Bellamy's most poetic, but I still adore the narrative of this man becoming gradually consumed and obsessed until it hits the disturbing imagery.
  7. I've still not seen a second of footage from The Mayan. If any of those are played you will finally understand me in that regard.
  8. The information bubble of Facebook is a natural result of its business model. As long as it continues to get support they have nostrong incentive to change. This applies to a lot of other social media. They've all been very slow.
  9. It's nice to see the responses be positive overall.
  10. It's good for Matt then that he doesn't even know enough French to say "I don't speak French".
  11. I kept thinking someone asked a really long question but it was just The Guardian begging me for money again. No mentions that Thought Contagion is confirmed a song about memes.
  12. Each person picks a top 5 and the setlist is made from those results. I don't think SBE had more than 5 songs that weren't played at least in the past couple years.
  13. Thought their new song was ok so I was feeling all right with Muse but now I'm glad things are back to normal.
  14. This band exists to make me suffer.
  15. Don't know how much I'd count Origin as it was a very special and intended performance but Butterflies, Citizen, and Take A Bow had also made returns that year as regulars and were sparse the months prior.
