  1. I've been in little venues when exactly that happens! But you wouldn't be able to see me because I'm 5'2" and weigh 7 stones (45kg) and when the moshpit explosion occurs I'm squished to the thickness of a potato crisp. Or I get caught on the edge of it having to push the big beefy blokes back into the pit. I quite enjoy pushing them as it happens, but it means I'm missing the gig and can't bounce/dance, because I'm having to push the moshers. And the moshers have made themselves loads of space to run around in, taking my fair share of space (and that of all the other people). That's why there should be a designated area at the back. Where there's space. Like a soft-play area for kids. For those who want to run around at a gig. Then everyone's happy!
  2. the 'classical' versions of Muse songs that Matt doesn't recognise! But that interviewer is so creepy, especially when asking Dom what kind of porn he likes!
  3. I remember watching this one at the time... the lasers were so cool. re acoustic version.. not sure about this. What would the tone of the song be? The lyrics are sad, yet the instrumental and the synchronised clapping, which is what people seem to like in live performance, are upbeat. Presumably a stripped back acoustic version would lose the latter, and turn it into a sad (?mawkish) song. Muse have a number of ballads which they don't play live, and not many people seem to want.
  4. Depends what you call rarities. Drones Europe had rarities. And Montreux wasn't really Drones. More a one off. I get the frustration of those who weren't there, but particularly those in the US....And yes, the US Drones tour looked lame. And yes there are too many of the pop regulars, (for my taste anyway). But that's not really what I mean. I mean the extreme fan against fan stuff. Like telling peeps in the US they should go to Europe to get better setlists. Not a good thing to say. Or claims of being shafted for not getting Futurism in Brighton. Disappointment (for how many?) gets escalated to a consensus view of being shafted. Also not good.
  5. It was billed as 'The Psycho Tour' not the 'utra rarity' tour. Disappointment at not getting a hoped for song is one thing, being 'shafted' is another. (much as I personally prefer Futurism to Dead Inside)
  6. Dead Inside was released the day of the Brighton gig. I can't really see it being played as 'being shafted'. It was the first live play of DI so it was the ultimate rarity at that time. Having said that, I don't like like DI, except for the last minute.
  7. Yes (for those of us in Europe anyway) but best to stick to 'I' statements rather than 'we' statements. ps re the Strokes.. saw them at Alexandra Palace back in 2003.. then at various festivals since then. Julian Casablancas is lazy as fuck. You really haven't missed much
  8. True. Only the setlists are determined by those (Matt/Muse) who are considering the 'problems' of all. Not just us on here. Maybe they don't want to frighten the Muse virgins away and think that missionary is the best policy. Guess it depends where you're coming from
