  1. Messed around with cubase a bit last night but can't figure it out. If any windows user finds out how to use Doms file in a windows based program let me know.
  2. Yeah I just realized that and am dl'ing cubase now. Idk why I didn't remember that lol. I'm no guitar noob but I'm nooby as fuck when it comes to midi stuff lol.
  3. So I just play the 0 8 5 7 3 5 0 riff on the A string and 9 and 12 at the end of each part and whammy will do the rest?
  4. Thanks man this is epic. Also just a bit confused on the part you have for the higher notes...it looks like the same frets so its just the whammy setting is different?
  5. Ha ok yeah I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to that conversation but I just remember no success. Well cool I'm gonna go try this out. I've never been exactly sure which whammy model I got but I'm pretty sure its a 4 and that can be hooked up via midi.
  6. Ok cool. Yeah I saw the guy asking about whammy 4 but it seemed like he didn't have any success and idk anything about these programs and midi controlled stuff. Also what is the ultimate octave doing? Like would a laptop, logic, whammy be enough once I have your file and your tab?
  7. Also just listened to the verse with the volume up louder and yeah you got it pretty spot on. The first time I did it with the volume low (family in the room) and it sounded like you had an up down up pattern on the automation but nah you got it spot on! It sounds amazing.
  8. Will it work with a whammy 4? I'm just trying to figure out how to set this up I've never used any midi programs to play guitar lol
  9. That was badass....I want that file and the name of the program you use to play it. Is it like you're playing into your laptop with no effects and then the program applies it after or can you have it outputted through your amp so it actually sounds live like you're just playing it?? Also the verse is good. It is more like the album version where the pitch shifting goes up and down on each note. On the live version that I covered (saitama pro shot) each pitch shift is single for each note. I can't think of a good way to explain it but each pitch shift that happens on each note that has the whammy notation on my tab its one solid single pitch shift either up or down not both.
  10. Sounds pretty damn close to be honest.
  11. I have a cover of the live version of the middle part back a couple pages. I was asking if someone could use the info about it learned (like the pitch shifting patterns and notes because they're spot on) that could make an autowhammy file so I don't have to do it manually like I did in the cover.
  12. Is someone interested in doing an autowhammy file for me for the live version of my manual whammy cover? Like I don't know how to use any of those programs to create it but considering that manually with the whammy I found out the notes and the pattern of pitch shifting I could give someone the info and them use it to create a file? I know theres a bunch floating around already in this thread but they're for the album version with 3 notes after each bit of the riff vs 2 he does live with no behind the nut scrapes.
  13. Yeah I know. I was always skeptical just based on how hes not facing the crowd and it just kinda seemed like he exaggerated his movements but then I saw them from the barrier when they came St. Louis and it was definitely live. You could just tell.
  14. yes its the fret you play. The brackets are for the whammy movements idk why i included the fret in the bracket. Also forgot to mention on the whammy set after the 3rd fret A string you need to bend the 9 on the G string as you ride up with the whammy so it raises even higher than a fully up toe. The up and down is just whether you move the toe up or down. It starts out always in the down position because you have to have it -1 octave to play the riff correctly on the A string. From that point its just a matter of learning how gradual to time the movements of the treadle. If you watch the live video at saitama you'll hear the pattern of some of them being pitch up and some being pitch down.
  15. Its a digitech whammy 4.
  16. If you're referring to mine there is no midi file. I recorded it just direct into my laptop with a whammy pedal. Actually doing the pitch shifting manually.
  17. uns tab.txt click that ^^ its an attachment
  18. Having never seen anyone tab the actual live version of this song I decided to learn and tab it myself. So here's the actual live version of unsustainable (with the different middle bit) as Matt plays it. Only I did it with a real whammy pedal no cheating midi program auto whammy. For anyone interested check it out and if you want I can post a quick notepad file of the tab. Recorded direct input into my laptop so quality is good. [soundcloud] [/soundcloud]
  19. Yeah good meeting you too. Show was pretty good. I got barrier to the left of his platform. Also got a handshake during UD. How was your show? Where'd you end up?

  20. the first time I ever heard that clip of that solo, the way it progresses, the last two notes we hear, it sounds like the end of the solo at least. One of my fears for the album we just heard the whole solo that has been hyped on an itunes preview
