ellielovesmuse
After psycho, which are the easiest to learn on guitar? cheers!
Dominic.
I imagine Defector would be quite easy Dead Inside can't be too tricky, still haven't worked out/found a decent tab though. The Handler is alright though
nerd herd
Drones & drill sergeant Other than psycho, the handler and defector are probably the easiest to play. Edit: Dominic beat me to it Dead Inside can't be too tricky, still haven't worked out/found a decent tab though. The DI tab on musewiki is pretty good. Not sure about the last few bits though. FTPhoton
Isn't mercy predominantly power chords though? (God feels weird to actually post rather than lurk)
Dominic.
Isn't mercy predominantly power chords though? (God feels weird to actually post rather than lurk) Ah shit yeah. Mercy must be pretty easy. Are there decent tabs of that? It progresses away from power chords a bit Asked this in GG&T, did anyone get the tab book (and fancies being cheeky?) kueller
Easiest to hardest, when applicable. JFK Mercy Psycho Defector Dead Inside Aftermath The Globalist Revolt The Handler Reapers

Guessing you mean that cleaner palm muted part in the verses? Distorted part is easy. Sounds like he's playing the power chords that are sort of like... well, if it was a C power chord on the 3rd fret, it would normally be E B G--5 D--5 A--3 E except it's being played with the 6th string added in, so it's E B G--5 D--5 A--3 E--3 or something. same thing weezer does in a lot of their songs. I've managed to get the palm muted lines in the verses to what I think is pretty much 100% correct but the bridge is still a little tough to hear. Would also be interested to see what the tab book says.
kueller
I'm interested to know how to get that sound in the bridge. It's some heavy modulation.
nerd herd
I've never actually bothered to learn mercy apart from the distorted bit. I'm interested to know how to get that sound in the bridge. It's some heavy modulation. Sounds like a flanger or some phaser. Guessing it's something on the axe fx.

Nah I mean after the Weezer chord bit, like it doesn't just repeat those same chords, instead it works it's way through different variations of those chords up the neck, kinda like Dead Inside as well EDIT: This looks p good https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/m/muse/mercy_ver5_tab.htm Edited April 12, 2016 by Dominic.
