GeorgiaMuse Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 I am! The concert on saturday really got me excited for September, I don't think I can handle the wait yes. Saturday was a very far in advanced appetizer for September this will finally be my first full Muse show
PanicStationofCydonia77 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I'll be going as well!! Who else is pumped for this? An actua Muse concert!!!!
LovelessSouvlaki Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I'm really happy that they're playing at the Gwinnett Arena again. They were great there last time and it's such a better venue than Philips Arena. There's not a bad seat in the house and the free parking is an added bonus
GeorgiaMuse Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 I can't wait til Thursday. gonna be so nervous I've never been to the Gwinnett for a concert, just for sporting events, and it's amazing
hugenkiss Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I will be there! A bunch of us will be driving down from Charlotte the night before. No sleep, but totally worth it!
Cookie Monster Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I'll be there! No pit for me though (probably only doing pit for Charlotte), gonna be spending the day at the aquarium. Can't wait!
GeorgiaMuse Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 can someone help me out with the presale. It says to go the member profile but I don't know where I'm aiming for lower level seats. My dad's going with me since none of my friends like Muse He really likes Muse so its all good
Furygirl Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 can someone help me out with the presale. It says to go the member profile but I don't know where Go to muse.mu. See the little white rectangle that says "sign in"? After you sign in, that changes to "Members". Click that and there will be a message there for you with your unique event code, as well as a link to the website that is hosting the presale.
GeorgiaMuse Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Go to muse.mu. See the little white rectangle that says "sign in"? After you sign in, that changes to "Members". Click that and there will be a message there for you with your unique event code, as well as a link to the website that is hosting the presale. thanks now two days to wait
Cookie Monster Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I'm assuming the event code for any of the dates will not be available until Thursday?
Furygirl Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 No, you should already see your event code if you go into the members section. You just can't use it until Thurs. though. When you click that link to the ticket site, it will ask you for that code when you try to buy tickets.
paper tiger Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I'll be attending. I will be back home and only taking a Seminar in the fall that only has to meet when we are presenting our research so this works out so well.
SpectralEnthusiasm Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 ey guys! Long-time Muser, first time concertgoer here! I'm 17, female, and I've never been to a concert, Muse or otherwise, but my rockin' mom, and maybe my adult sister, and I are going to go to this gig! We were out of town for the Final Four concert and watched the livestream; we totally flipped when Matt said they'd be back! . We're SO EXCITED, but I'm nervous about pit vs assigned seating. The layout of the Arena, to me, seems pretty weird for a concert--it's like a football field with the stage at one end, GA/pit where the field would be, and then seating around the pit area. I'm worried about getting close enough to get a good seat if we do assigned, but I'm also worried about surviving the pit--I'm about 5'7" and pretty slim, plus being a first time concertgoer. Do you guys have any suggestions for which seating we should do? Thank you so much. ^^' Also--I joined on April 8th. Am I still eligible for the presale?
paper tiger Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Did you join muse.mu before the 8th? The forum and muse.mu are separate accounts. To check go to muse.mu and sign in. if you're signed in click on white box at top right that says Members and you should see the code. About the gig: The stage will be higher up so seated and GA people will see the performance. The muse crowds are tame I wouldn't worry about anything intense or mosh pits going on at a muse gig. At the muse gigs I've been too the "worse" it got was when matt walked by us when he was shaking hands and really the worse was just people barely pushing behind me trying to reach him and that lasted all of 10 seconds and everyone was still polite and not all up on everyone's business. There is jumping and some dancing but it's not scary or dangerous just way fun.
PanicStationofCydonia77 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I'm wondering: what's the ticket price range for the presale and the generalsale. This is my first legit Muse gig so I wanna plan efficiently. (:
Furygirl Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 With fees and all, around $65-75. I've never gotten seats, but I think the prices are comparable. There's not a huge range of prices for seats.
paper tiger Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 On the website for the Arena it said it will range from $49.50 - $59.50 taxes and fees not included. So it won't be too bad bc fees/taxes shouldn't make it go over 65-ish...maybe.
LovelessSouvlaki Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I won't be able to buy tickets until about 10:30 am tomorrow, do you think I'll have a decent chance of getting two GA tickets?
GeorgiaMuse Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 tomorrow is the day! hoping my dad comes through and gets some good seats
paper tiger Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Keep in mind that they don't put up all tix in one go, but in cycles so it's fair. So at a certain time they may "sell out" of GA/pit but then 30-60? minutes later there will be more up for sale. If you do happen to miss out on tix during the pre-sale don't forget about the general sale on Friday, also remember that the GA/pit area is very large so I don't really think this gig will sell out that fast for GA/pit. Usually for popular cities like NY that can happen but I doubt for a gig scheduled on hump day in Duluth it will sell out that fast.
indiefilmman Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 I'll be there! I think I'll get GA tickets. Last time I saw them at Gwinnett was my first Muse show and was in seats...I wouldn't mind waiting around all day with you fine people.
