  1. Very sad when Muse is ripping off Atomic Kitten's "Whole Again". LOL
  2. Purchases. Physical(vinyl, CD), digital(iTunes, Amazon). Streaming is another beast entirely.
  3. I know that starting with Absolution, every Muse album has been #1 in the UK album charts. But the most any album spent at #1 is 2 weeks. I think it speaks to a very loyal Muse following, but never really had the casuals like Coldplay. Also collectively the albums have sold about 20 million globally over 19 years which is good, but not impressive.
  4. The problem is Muse has never really cultivated an audience that appreciated the progressive rock side like Radiohead. So they basically have made their own 'pop' bed and they have to lie in it or change things up massively and take a short term hit.
  5. This concert gave me so many erections and I came so much.
  6. Is this the real life is this just fantasy Caught in a landslide No escape from reality Open your eyes Look up to the skies and see I'm just a poor boy I need no sympathy

  8. Muse have been 'meh' ever since their hiatus after 2008 to record 'The Resistance'. The last great Muse gig was 2008's Royal Albert Hall which featured the big church organ on "Megalomania".
  9. Sadly more proof that Muse has become Coldplay, but without the 'feel-good' factor.
  10. Matt & Dom fancy themselves are 'big stars' and they like flashy things and no more attention is paid to good songwriting. Chris got sober for this?
  11. Just looked at the last Muse gig - what a shit shit shit setlist. It's like they're deliberately making it as easy as possible for themselves and cashing the check. Why would any self respecting MUSE-er pay a single dime for this?
  12. Showbiz to Absolution.. Back when Muse was REAL, not this fake bullshit thing.
  13. Too bad it won't include the B-sides.
  14. Is this the same guy who wrote Shrinking Universe, New Born, Butterflies & Hurricanes, Hoodoo, Exogenesis? I've never seen a top-flight songwriter degenerate like this over the years. Not a single one. Matt Bellamy will go down in history as the worst rock songwriter ever after having been one of the best!
  15. If it were a great song, I wouldn't care about a fan poll. But it's a lousy, awful song. 'by the numbers' is the way it's described in the industry - 'work song', the type typically churned out when a band needs a single.
  16. That's my point. The last album that had any subtlety on it was Absolution. Coldplay are better these days than Muse. Hell Muse is not even in my top 20 bands anymore. If you want a great new record in 2017 - Slowdive.
  17. Pretty sad to see how Muse devolve further and further while Radiohead keeps getting better every album. Radiohead are like fully evolved humans while Muse are shit-slinging apes.
  18. Muse will get plenty of butts in the seats regardless. But better spend your hard earned money on new bands producing interesting music instead of Muse retreads.
  19. Would be interesting if it's in the style of Pink Floyd's "Early Years" with live versions of Showbiz/OOS, B-sides and rarities all in one deluxe set.
  20. It's cringe-inducing to see Matt use some generic Glee-style vocals when he's the same guy who sung "Uno", "Cave", "Showbiz", "Citizen Erased" in his unique style.
  21. Muse are all turning 40 in the next 18 months, so they are quite the 'junior' in comparison to many of the other major high revenue acts like the Stones, Springsteen. Hard to imagine Matt/Dom/Chris as 40, I always thought they'd be 22 forever like this:
