  1. Like the Thriller style video. Girl is a THOT.
  2. Wouldn't mind if they just played the middle hard-rock bit during 2019 gigs. That really gets the crowd pumping.
  3. Sure the singles. But look at the album tracks on 'Drones'. Reapers, Aftermath, The Handler, Drones. Muse have always had a good mix of commercial songs for singles and more complex music for those who appreciate that. The same dynamic has held since 'Absolution'.
  4. So if the other 1/2 on 'Antics'?
  5. You mean that anyone ever liked this song? You can be sure it won't be played on the 'Simulation Theory' tour as they won't do older songs of that length that aren't promoting the new LP. Besides which they are so over the drones concept and on to the Outrun thing.
  6. I can see a lot of dissing Interpol in this thread. How dare you people? "Turn on the Bright Lights" is a masterpiece.
  7. The thing about "The Dark Side" is those synth chords. Reminds me of those epic 1980s synth-pop songs. Especially stuff like "Relax" or Jan Hammer. This songs blows away the previous 3 completely and reminds me of the epicness of songs on Absolution.
  8. Agreed. I love the synth stabs at the start. I like how there is no building up to that, the songs just attacks you right away. Also no millennial whoop.
  9. Sounds almost Indian. Is Matt actually not going to do everything as a rock cliche for a change? Sounds promising. Source:
  10. I'll admit that for a change we're getting the classic Matt Bellamy vocal instead of a lot of these George Michael/Prince/Bono imitations over the last few years. That is refreshing alone.
  11. The 2nd Law was the last Muse album I purchased. I only ever streamed Drones and these last 3 singles. There is no reason to ever spend money explicitly on new Muse songs again.
  12. 41 million in an environment where Justin Bieber gets 410 million. We're talking an order of magnitude difference and Radiohead is arguably the greatest band since The Beatles.
  13. Well producing virtually every song in an odd time signature puts it out of reach for mainstream listeners. Not that it's a bad thing. I like that Radiohead is virtually 'cult' in this modern pop nightmare landscape.
  14. Don't really care for the color coding stuff. To me the best Muse was 1999-2003. Not just all 3 albums were great, but loads of great B-sides as well. During that period, they couldn't put out a bad song if they tried, that's greatness. I feel 2004 Glastonbury was the capper on that whole era. What happened later is a musical tragedy.
  15. Sad to see Muse trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator of modern pop music. Radiohead goes in the other direction, making their music even more complex and inaccessible.
  16. LOL, he's only the best lead rock vocalist in the last 20 years.
  17. Yeah remember when they used to drop face-melting singles like 'Stockholm Syndrome' or 'Map of the Problematique'? I 'member.
  18. At this point Matt wishes he could write a pop song as good as Chvrches!
