    By the time I get to "Revolt", I'm so revolted I have to put "Citizen Erased" on to cleanse the musical palate. I'm sure I'm not the only one. However I'm a 35+ Muser, so write it off to old-fartism.

    I guess that's the rub of it all right? Nobody could say that the first 4 albums were snooze-inducing. One thing about OoS is how it got me pumped up the first time I ever listened to it.

    Honestly I'm not impressed. But Muse hasn't done a great video since "Knights of Cydonia". It's like they aren't even trying anymore.

    Yeah because the Raven album didn't win 2013 "Prog album of the year" from all the web sites...

    This is what I thought is the fundamental difference between LP1-3 and 4-6. One is taking their influences and creating what sounded like a fresh sound and the other is just regurgitating sounds.

    So according to Matt this is going to be a 10-minute prog nightmare. I'll reserve judgement until I hear it. Because I have a certain standard of modern prog-epic set by Steven Wilson. We'll see how Muse measures up.

    The final section from 2:35 has definitely got me humming. Not the best Muse ever, but pretty nice.

    So Muse are down to copying Backstreet Boys since trying to ape Radiohead is out of their league now.

    Yeah thanks for reminding me about "Ruled by Secrecy". When Muse did a political conspiracy song a million times better than they can do now.

    That track alone is better than the last 3 Muse albums put together. Sounds more akin to something Radiohead might be doing.

    I thought this was the album that Muse were "going back to basics". What does that even mean when they were using synths on OoS? Anyways the song is catchy as hell.
