  1. You sound like you think we're all thick but even the seated tickets say General Admission on them so I don't think you need to tell us all again. Thanks! Someone on the Belfast gig thread has posted that if you go on twitter and look for #muse #psycho you will see photos of the guys arriving at the gig in Belfast. Being useless at Twitter I looked for #muse #belfast and there are photos there, too. Possibly even the same photos.
  2. Thanks! I'm useless at Twitter but I've seen some of the photos. Is there a way I can share these on Facebook?
  3. I believe there is a multi-storey nearby, Kingsway, and their website says it is signposted from the motorway. Here is the website of Newport City Council. http://www.newport.gov.uk/_dc/index.cfm?fuseaction=visitconferences.homepage&contentid=devxp001456
  4. I know it's not a political rally but people at Muse gigs often hand flags to Matt and he got into trouble in one country on the 2nd law tour because he accepted a flag from someone in the audience and wrapped it around his shoulders. I don't think anyone at the gig was bothered but other people kicked up a fuss. Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful time! I'm surprised the Belfast Telegraph's website doesn't have anything on it about one of the world's biggest bands playing in Belfast but I'm sure they'll report it tomorrow. http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/
  5. I don't know for sure but I imagine the ground floor seating can be removed as there are a number of different layouts possible and you can see these on their website. They have boxing matches there and the ring is right in the centre. I'm assuming the 'tiers' are fixed but I could be wrong. We're leaving Cardiff at 5.30 in case there are any hold-ups on the roads. My husband worked in Newport for 12 years and could drive there in 15-20 minutes but that's assuming the roads are clear. We have to find somewhere to park and he then has to push me in my wheelchair to the centre. Look out for me; I'll be wearing blue jeans, red top and a black coat with a MUSE badge on it.
  6. I'm a bit worried that someone might offer Matt a flag. 'Flegs' for anyone who isn't from Norn Iron are a very contentious issue. If he accepts any kind of flag and drapes it around himself, he's bound to offend somebody. Anyway, have a great night, everyone who's going. I can't wait to hear all about it!
  7. It's very confusing. Never mind; I'm sure it will be all right on the night! I do think it's a bit naughty of Muse only to give one week's notice of the gigs. People who work can't always get time off at such short notice.
  8. I'm guessing that GA0 is the standing area; someone further back on this or one of the other gig threads said the number is so the venue/Ticketmaster can keep tabs on how many tickets have been sold. I am in the upper tier and my ticket says GA2. People in the lower tier seem to have GA1 written on their tickets. If it doesn't say 'seating' anywhere on your ticket it's probably standing.
  9. Look back at the posts in this thread and you will see a sticky about how to get tickets which may be available. Please do it officially as you will be turned away if you get to the venue with a ticket you have obtained through unofficial sources and that would be heartbreaking. Good luck!
  10. I've never been but from the photos I've seen it looks a bit like St David's Hall in Cardiff and that's an awful lot cosier than the Emirates Stadium. I will actually be able to see them this time without having to look at a video screen. If you look at the photos of the interior of the venue there is an area just in front of that seated area for standing. I'm sure no-one would stop you if you waited till the show began and just walked forward. I don't know if you want to be at the front but it's so small being at the back of the standing area will still be close to the stage. Shineybee, there's nothing wrong with Newport. It has rough areas like any other city. There aren't a lot of tourist attractions, though. Here's a video you can watch by Newport's finest export, Goldie Lookin Chain
  11. I pre-ordered the CD and DVD about an hour ago. Paid by PayPal. No problem. I had an email confirmation straight away and download code. I've since had a second email with the download code in case I didn't get the first one. £13.99 plus P & P very reasonable for all that.
  12. I was paranoid my ticket which says GA2 with two numbers would be standing even though it says Upper Tier-Unreserved Seating so I phoned the contact centre this morning and there are definitely seats where I can sit with my husband in this part. If there's no area stated it's probably the standing part but you can always phone if you want to and it will set your mind at rest.
  13. I'm going to the Newport gig and someone on that thread complained that they have to travel from the north of England to get to the gig. I told her about you. You are AWESOME! It's a shame you are travelling all that way and not getting time to see beautiful Norn Iron, as the locals call it. It's especially good for people who are fans of Game of Thrones as a lot of it is filmed there. If the Translink Bus goes past the Sandyknowes Roundabout on the motorway, you can wave to Glengormley for me. It's a shithole but Belfast is GORGEOUS!
  14. My 'LOL! I missed that!' should have gone here. Far away? Someone is flying from San Francisco to Belfast just to see Muse and I think flying straight back again. How much must THAT have cost? Sheer devotion.
  15. I'll be in the upper tier, too. I managed to get hold of someone who was able to answer my question about how I could be sure I did get a seat as I am disabled. I was told to be there half an hour before the doors open and speak to the security staff who will make sure that anyone in a wheelchair will get a seat and will store the wheelchair safely. If you see a woman in a wheelchair jumping the queue, don't be cross because it will be me. I haven't been to a gig in the Newport Centre, either, but here is a photo of a totally seated gig. I assume they just remove the ground floor seating. http://images.newport.gov.uk/_dc/images/portfolio_previews/00/00/00/01/p0000000186.jpg

    Psycho UK Tour

I'm so sorry for all of you who weren't able to get tickets. I'm sure they'll do more UK gigs in bigger venues after the album has been released. If you haven't registered on the members' section yet, do it today!
  17. There is a number. It says Row GA2 Seats 217-218 Upper Tier-Unreserved Seating. I've just spoken to someone at the contact centre who said the venue hasn't sent them any details about the seating plan yet. I can't contact the venue directly but she's passed a message to them and asked them to call me back. So I wait..........

Two tickets Upper Tier Unreserved Seating came to £88.75 including all fees. Good luck!
  19. Damo, I panicked when someone said that, because all the tickets are 'general admission,' that must mean there is no seating. I've never been to the Newport Centre but I saw a photo of the auditorium online last night and it looked as if the 'tiers' are fixed. I could be wrong. My ticket says 'Upper Tier - Unreserved Seating.' I can't imagine anyone would be allowed to stand up there but I'm phoning the centre anyway. It opens at 7.15 am and I've been up since 5am. I need to be able to sit down and I really don't want a wheelchair space because there wouldn't be as much choice about where I sat. I thought they played the Millenium Stadium in 2010 but I must have got that wrong. I don't feel quite so bad about not having seen them if last time they were in Cardiff was 2006. I had never heard of them back then.
  20. I'm from NI but live in Wales. I take it you're flying into Belfast International Airport (Aldegrove?) From there to Belfast City Centre is 16.5 miles. If you look on this website http://www.theaa.com/route-planner and select 'IRE (ROI and NI) and put from 'Belfast International Airport' (it will tell you that it is in Crumlin, County Antrim) and 'to Belfast City Hall' it will show the route. You'll see where I come from just next to the M2. A little place called Glengormley. I'm sure there are buses to Belfast and the Ulster Hall is right in the centre and very close to the bus station. More info about this fabulous city HERE: http://visit-belfast.com/

    Psycho UK Tour

Shit. I'm disabled and I assumed there would be seats. I'll have to phone the venue tomorrow. It's really unfair that people in wheelchairs can't buy tickets on the website like non-disabled fans can.
  22. They played Cardiff in 2010. I wasn't a fan then, though. I'm upstairs. The receipt has seat numbers on it but it says 'unreserved.' What's that about? Do you think if we hang around the stage door afterwards we might get to meet them?
