  1. The tapping feels out of place and the solo is just bad. Both have obvious classic rock/acdc influence. The verses and the choruses are badass though! The second solo behind the final chorus is pretty sweet as well.
  2. Didn't even pay attention to the lyrics on the first go, but damn they're a bit un-Muse, with "your ass belongs to me" but overall I don't really care for lyrics unless they're good. I started to like the delivery of the lyrics more on several listens though, and the production is spot on. EDIT: "super drone"
  3. Yes, because wikipedia says that they're a progressive rock band . I listen to bands because of their sound, I don't care about how techincally proficent they are or what genre they are representing. It's the music that matters, and frankly this piece of music is uninspiring. However, as I said, it will probably be fun live.
  4. It's generic even for Muse standards. 5 minutes of the same thing is uninspiring even for them. I wouldn't mind having riff-verse-riff-verse if it were shorter (Hyper Music for example)
  5. I'm not forming it based on a past reaction, I'm saying the reaction is similar. It's the sound of the song that even drew me to this conclusion. It's heavy and all, but it lacks the energy from Matt and I'm dissapointed by the sound of the riff as well actually. I just remember how people went mental when Supremacy was premiered cause "omg heavy riff OLDE muse are back" and because how generic Psycho is I find that people are excited just because it's "heavy" and "raw" (even though it really isn't raw)
  6. I mean it's heavy and all, but it's nothing special. The reaction here reminds me the time when Supremacy was first played live and everyone went "omg muse are back heacy riff", this song is no exception, pretty generic.
