  1. Matt said something like "we're bringing it back from the dead" tonight. Had a blast at the show anyway. Resistance is much improved compared to 2009, though I preferred it when he played the intro on guitar with the doubleneck, and MWAH sounded better than ever surprisingly. Surprised at no SS or The Handler but hearing CE again was great and the first few songs form a great opener. Had a great time anyway, as much as the board always hates on the mostly casual setlists.
  2. I wouldn't try and look for patterns in Muse's setlist choices to be honest - it will drive you crazy! I'm seeing them tonight as it turns out. Ticket prices are crazy, but my partner didn't want to miss the chance to see them here so finally bought the tickets yesterday. I didn't know there were places in the world where you could literally buy your Muse ticket the night before the show - it's always been a nightmare for me trying to get one in the past, haha!
  3. Well, it looks like I'm going, despite the insane ticket price, as my partner doesn't want to miss the chance. I haven't Muse live since 2010 but hopefully it should be a good show (and even more hopefully Citizen Erased stays in there - or at least replaced with something unusual like Futurism, though I can't see that happening, haha). It's weird being in a country where I can literally get a ticket to see Muse the night before the show though. It was a nightmare trying to get tickets ordered back when I was in the UK, but yeah. Hopefully it'll be good. I'll try and post in when I can. Edit - all done, had a great time. Really pleased to hear CE again too. Glad they still impress live.
  4. Haha, yeah, I think I was thinking of the Pirates of the Caribbean quote, but as soon as I typed madness, I could only think of the Muse song, so I had to change it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xECUrlnXCqk
  5. I don't know how you did that, I've literally only just come on! I'd say that's either madness or brilliance, but it's not... ...It's Dead Inside...*shifty eyes*
  6. Been to a few shows like that, but yeah, I assume it's easy to forget your audience doesn't know the new song you're really excited about if you've been playing it for months in private. I suppose they have to get out there and start playing them at some point, but any time pre-release and there is a point where it can get excessive if you're only playing new stuff. Some bands are particularly bad for it though, and it does get annoying after a while. Hi James.
  7. At Wembley '10, I remember going mental from the first *DUM-DUM* of the drums that signified CE was coming right up, haha! I'd already recognised Bliss about to be played from the chords Matt was playing on his guitar while they were getting ready, haha! It's the kind of times you realise you've watched far too many live videos, haha!
  8. No. Know Your Enemy would have been a far superior answer anyway.
  9. No, but I'm hoping to at least hear of some progress in the next couple of days. They should have all the right documents now at least, if they've finished arsing about. Looking forward to flicking that on switch again, and hearing that whirring noise as the fan starts up. Presuming I don't blow the house up or something. I haven't played in about two weeks though, so I'm hoping it hurries up before my fingers get too soft.
  10. You just can't help yourself, can you? How many have you had now? Yes. 6 months.
  11. No, but James90 does, which is what really counts after all. He's probably made people buy as many.
  12. Just seen the five tags on this thread! <3 Waiting is what makes a Manson a Manson. Just look at mine.
  13. If you're in the UK, you may as well phone them - you'll probably get your answer much quicker.
  14. Stuff for customs clearance. How a professional international company can be this incompetent, I have no idea. It's been in that warehouse for eight days now.
  15. I've heard of stuff like that happening before. Someone told me it's lazy drivers or something, haha! I used a load of styrofoam stuff that Mansons packed my custom with when it came back from having the midi stuff repaired. I just cut it up and packed it around the amp accordingly, with some of the bubble wrap I'd saved up. I would have had it a week ago if UPS hadn't fucked up their documents. Should have it in about another week anyway, but having paid for a 2-3 day service, and the customer service from their end has been pretty poor, it's a bit annoying.
  16. Ha, yeah, I bought an extra seat (you can fit 2 or 3 guitars on one seat I think), but on the second flight, they'd given the extra seat to another passenger because they hadn't got the message when I booked it for some reason. So my guitars were put in first class though I was in economy, because they messed up, haha! Interestingly though, the Emirates staff said they'd normally let people take guitars on anyway, even though the size restrictions say stuff like that has to be checked or whatever. They said they normally give extra leniency to guitars for some reason. Still though, the extra seat did give me extra cabin baggage allowance, which meant I was able to bring more with me still which helped. But yeah, I'm supposed to get the seat refunded because they messed up, but it might take months to hear back from them about it so I don't know. Even so, 2 guitars on one seat probably worked out about the same as it would have cost to ship them, except I don't have the worries about them getting lost or damaged, and I didn't have to pay any import charges. I put all my pedals in my suitcase for the same reason, so I didn't get charged on their value, but then the pedalboard cases got given a big charge because they were so big or something, so it probably works out about average. Just waiting for UPS to wake up and sort my amp out. Thursday and Friday this week are national holidays here apparently so if it's not sorted out by tomorrow, I'll have to wait until next week. Edit - Looks like they've fixed the mix up, but they still need some more information and then it will take 3 working days to clear it before it can then be delivered. Can't see how I'm getting it before next Tuesday or Wednesday. I should have had it last Thursday. -_-
  17. Haha, well, I opened the cases after the first flight, and they were fine, though I'd knocked them over a few times by mistake. On the second flight, they actually travelled in first class, because there was some kind of mix up, and they didn't get the message from the original airport that I was supposed to be able to take them on. I think I actually delayed the flight by about half an hour because it took a while for them to find out everything, haha! Apparently I should get some kind of compensation for it as well, but the last time I had to do that with an airline it took about six months, so I'm not going to start holding my breath just yet.
  18. Yeah, I'm just leaving them in their cases until I get the amp to give them as much time as possible to adjust before playing, but I'm really looking forward to getting them going again. Everything else is set up, though it took a few hours to get all those pedals connected again, haha! Cheers - I'll try and pop in here from time to time when I get the chance if I can.
  19. Yep, should be. I was supposed to have a job interview this afternoon but it's been delayed until next week now because they couldn't make it. Been here a few times before but it's nice to know I'm here to stay this time. Living in Bangkok at the moment, but will probably move somewhere a bit more scenic once we've had a couple of years to save some money up. I've travelled the country quite a bit on my previous visits and some of it is breathtakingly beautiful.
  20. Yep! Got here last Thursday I think, but it already seems forever ago that I was in the UK. This place always has that effect on me somehow. Brought all my guitar and camera stuff, and as many clothes, books, DVDs, and random things from my old life as I could fit, haha! Getting through the airport was hell but worth it in the end, I'm sure! XD
  21. Ha, yeah, I wasn't sure while it was the weekend, which was why I waited to see if anything changed today. I haven't been able to test anything yet anyway, but I wired all my pedalboards back up the other night. Just waiting for the amp so I can start playing again. Leaving the guitars in their cases to acclimatise for now. Everything's here apart from the amp though. I got a huge import charge on the pedalboards, but I did manage to bring all my pedals in my luggage on the plane without any charges on those, so it probably works about equal really. Guitars came on the flight with me and I didn't have any trouble with those, just can't play them until I've got something to plug them in to. Looking forward to playing again though.
  22. I always consider the early Japanese tracklists to be definitive to make myself feel better about that! Probably still have to say OoS anyway. I normally say OoS has the best songs, but Abso is the best album...but it's asking for favourite, not best, and I listen to OoS more than Abso on average so...
  23. They printed the wrong documentation for my amp, so it's been stuck in a warehouse for the past five days. I think they reused an old tracking number and then printed all the stuff on that too (including £1000 of towels going to a business in the US). They could have called and sorted this out days ago obviously, but it took me phoning them to find out what was going on to find out anything. I've got my pedalboards all here and connected up again already, and my guitars too, but I can't do anything without the amp really.
