  1. I agree with your friend. I wouldn't say these sessions were necessarily negative (so I dunno about the phrase "fed up") but it was probably very tiring not being on their own schedule for producing as they have been on the last 2 albums. But those kind of frustrating sessions can be the best – Radiohead's (lol) In Rainbows was full of those and it's one of their best albums in my opinion
  2. The only Queen song I can think of being slightly similar is the second half of The Prophet's Song also yes to Escape, same chord change iii > IV
  3. Hmm...I can hear just a bit, but I think that just might be the atonality (is that right word? there doesn't seem to be a certain scale to it) of both songs EDIT: also the sudden stop - start motion is similar as well, yeah I can hear it
  4. serious morricone vibes...total BHAR stuff. LOVE IT. wonder if there will be vocals in the intro
  5. MK Ultra was like the best track out of that whole album imo it was like the perfect direction they could have gone in from BHaR. Plus the bridge is probably like the best example of Matt's composition, the chord sequence is incredible in the guitars
