So what's the deal with radio stations pushing the premiere to 20:25 GMT?

btw that preview seems to be in D minor? I might be wrong. But the 7-string is in A minor I think, or some chromatic variation of it.

Ok layered vocals wouldn't necessarily be bad. I didn't hear it so it may be worse than I imagine but songs like Apocalypse Please and Map have great layered vocals. Even Uprising's were pretty great, and I'd compare those to Queen edit: ok just heard it lol

Just in case if anyone is trying to listen to XFM outside of the UK – just put in a random UK postcode when it asks you for one (EC1A 1AA worked for me)

I'm definitely expecting something more centered around melody and chord progression than a riff and bluesy rhythm like in Psycho. I like Psycho but apart from the guitar solo section there's not much musical substance to it imo

Musers will probably look at this thread in a few years the same way we are at Survival's right now. Put on your best act for them!

It's nice to be going into this single with zero expectations. I think Madness is a good song but the hype that lasted weeks alongside descriptions of the song really ruined the initial release for me. Thankfully these great shows recently have taken some of the hype (and its resulting potential disappointment) from Dead Inside!

Would be nice tbh. I can't imagine a way where that phrase could be in the lyrics without sounding really forced (i.e. "I am/feel/become dead inside" or something like that)

Hard to believe that we'll have a new song this time tomorrow, if those tweets are confirmation. I'm actually surprised there hasn't been any official word on the single yet (or has there? I may be out of the loop)

I don't think Glorious is particularly the most exciting song by them but I think it's their most beautiful melody

I really hope the band hasn't left behind classical influences. Listening to the (specifically at the bridge) made me realize this. I don't necessarily mean classical instrumentation (though songs like B&H are great), more so the theory influences (like that descending progression in MK Ultra I posted). Psycho kind of has a similar chord structure in the guitar "solo" section. Reapers does sound a bit more traditional rock. Also, unrelated but I feel like Dead Inside is gonna be poppy in the same way that TiRO is poppy. Not quite Starlight or Madness level..

Yeah video still works in the U.S. I love the guitar part in the chorus. The urgency really reminds me of Dying Atheist. I can't wait to hear how the vocoder + all other subtle layers fit in the song. I'm also in love with the part of solo that sounds like Around the World by RHCP...such a great a transition to the whammy bit at the end
