  1. Ahhhh running out of time .. can't read all the above posts but I gotta stop by to say this. Faz! Kimi. Pavilion. 11am (make it 12 lah, we know F1 drivers aren't punctual ). THURSDAY, 2nd April! >Link< Make sure you take emergency leave! Sadly I've already took Wednesday and Friday off for F1. I don't think I have valid reasons to take leave anymore lol plus, I'm only an intern! So you have to go and report to us..! My friend Farhana and co should be there too I think! Edit: And here's another! Nelsinho!
  2. Yeahh, the lyrics were so well written for that album One of the bests for the decade, I dare declare! I'm currently loving Echo Park - suddenly rediscovered and rekindled my love for the old gem from 2001 last week :] Their latest, Silent Cry, did not really appeal to me though, sadly.. but that may be due to the fact that I was distracted with the release of other albums during that time. Jon's suicide was a real surprise though, at that time.. I know it took me quite awhile to get over the tragic death.
  3. Lol I eat and breathe BRJ.. Oklah, not to that extent but yeah I've had my fair share of maplay (mapley?) sessions there with friends! I hope you tried their nasi lemak ayam! It's vunderbah. Their cheese naan ain't that bad too, along with those humongous drinks! I would dearly love to go for Rachael Yamagata. Also to meet up with a few Singaporean peeps for a good night out. Don't think it would materialize however, it's just not plausible because it's on a weekday. Not to mention my dad's birthday as well So glad my practical training will be over in 7 weeks' time though! There were only about 20 balloons for Muse I think.. or less! Or someone with a better memory could perhaps correct me? lol. Huhuhu, just when I was about to forgive myself for missing Coldplay's gig, now I watch Yellow and have to go through the whole cycle of torture for missing it again... Lol. Do you know I haven't mustered enough courage to watch a single Fix You vid on youtube yet? Because ... well.. I just... know it would hurt me so much if I do lol. Overdramatic, much? Sigh. Well at least Formula One is just round the corner right now and I'm starting to feel the F1 fever! I can't believe it's been 6 months/half a year already since the Singapore night race! They'll be in KLCC on Wednesday, usually about 12pm like that Just like all the other previous years.. Heh. I wonder why they're not having another pit lane park again (that's open to the PUBLIC!) For the autograph session, I'm actually glad the Ferraris will be in the same session as Red Bull Racing. That way, everyone will flock to the Ferraris while I can get Vettel to myself, hopefully? You don't need the tickets for the autograph session, I believe. For the MotoGP one, it was held at the entrance hall area where they sold merchandise. I'm assuming for F1 it should be the same too. But I don't think anyone should put their hopes up too high for it - coz even for MotoGP only a limited amount of people who queued up properly (200 if I'm not wrong - there were at least 500 people that day queueing up!) can get the drivers to sign ONE thing. Also, say if Kimi's queue is way too long already, they'll just push you to another driver that's rather empty and after that you have to leave the area! I wanted Nicky Hayden to sign something for me, but too many people were at his part of the table, so I went up to this Japanese MotoGP rider instead...crap I can't remember his name now, but he looked so lonely at his corner so I went over to make him feel loved. He was so friendly! Can you work for half a day on Saturday? Lol. 8-10am only? (or is that a quarter of a day...) Then drive to Sepang immediately!
  4. Aida! I'm so nervous for this Wednesday!! You'll probably see me all weak in my knees and babbling nonsense lol. I don't know what to give Nick yet! Although I might wanna have a good word with Robert for totally killing Sebastian Vettel's hopes of being on the podium in Australia!! Yay, a Feeder fan :] Don't you think Comfort in Sound was an absolutely perfect album? :O Nut, what were you doing at Wangsa Maju station? Were you staying close by? My college's only like a stone's throw away from that LRT station! Then again, I don't head back to college thesedays since I'm doing my practical training.. Those concert pictures are lovelyyy, although I believe they're rather heavily zoomed in hence the pixelated quality (no offence). Which camera were you using? I love the fact that you've actually rubbed shoulders with Coldplay ... or grabbed rather... lol Are you by any chance headed to the Rachael Yamagata gig @ Esplanade next month? Tee?
  5. That. Is. One. Epic. Setlist. Twenty six songs in total?! (Of course, instrumental at some parts..) *wails* I am most definitely going to regret this sometime down the road. I cannot believe I gave up Coldplay for effing work (and various stupid pineapple reasons). I sense a change in me already, since started working and that's not a change for the better!!! I AM NOT HAPPY!!!! Nut, I don't blame you for saying Coldplay might've been the best concert you've ever been to because all my other Singaporean counterparts that went won't stop gushing over it either! An old school dedicated Lifehouse fan even caved in and said Coldplay's gig surpassed every other concert! Debbie, youtube has an abundant full load of awesome live vids from that night, even one of Chris Martin popping a yellow balloon! Right now, I can only imagine how the stadium would've sounded like with the outburst of guitar riffs during Death and All his Friends!!!!! Note to self: Gotta stop listening to your conscience and just follow your goddamn heart! Lol
  6. Tee! OMG you have that book edition album! You bought it at HMV? How much was it? That's crazzzyy I would love to have a look at all those artsy fartsy drawings or whatever it is inside that book lol. I've never watched that DVD! I could only find Beyond the Neighbourhood at Borders here, can you believe it? Nevertheless, I was most certainly over the moon when I stumbled upon an Athlete CD in a bookshop XD Thanks for the link to that awesome vid! I read that they usually close their set with twenty-four hours. How surreal! My sister and I pre-ordered Idlewild's new album just two weeks ago. On top of the price of the CD, international fans are only required to pay an additional £1.50 for them to ship it over to your doorstep - wherever you are. I seriously can't wait for it's arrival and I wish Muse would do something like that for the international fans too come later this year..! Debbie, James Marsden was so awesomely-gorgeous in Sex Drive! Despite playing a complete jock, I still find him absolutely charming. Goes to show how versatile that guy can be! (Obvious bias-ness, much? lol) COLDPLAY UPDATE, PLEASE!! *hint hint nudge nudge* Lol, I know you're exhausted from such a long weekend, Nut, but that certainly doesn't give you an excuse to not update us about your Cold-Korn-Play-filled weekend! We're all awaiting your review! Oh and people, how was Sunburst?! Sad to say eventhough the trip up north was a getaway of sorts, I find myself heading back to KL with a sorethroat eventhough I didn't scream at a concert. Hah. Lake, trees, banjarans and hills... super awesome place to ber-emo! (and stuff yourself silly with sushi)
  7. Oh and Incubus @ Sunburst on Hitz.tv! I missed the first 30 minutes, did I miss anything major? I wonder if anyone has the soft copy of it? I attempted to record it on my camera - the 2nd half at least, but just now when I watch it back again - I notice that there was quite a conversation going on, so it's a little too bising.. haha :X Because they did not show the part where Brandon Boyd took off his shirt onwards, here's a tribute of sorts for that wonderful day! :-
  8. Lol, the whole Dom thing may have been blown out of proportion. As Joelynn mentioned earlier, it's just that last weekend, I saw a Dom-look-alike at Putrajaya. OK, Alamanda to be precise. I texted her about it along with something else that I can't really remember what anymore lol. That's about it.. Haha.. Yeah, it would be quite a huge risk if Muse won't confirm by then. However, I think I'm just going to get the ticket anyway - there's bound to be a good band that will be playing Reading/Leeds! Have you seen last year's line up? It's gargantuan! And Feeder played last year... I hope they'll play again in 2010... Oh and Faz, you might be interested in this year's festival. Radiohead apparently are 99% confirmed to headline! So you won't be going F1 this year? But you're going to KLCC on April 1st, then? Lol maybe I can *try* sneaking out of work just to see Nick Heidfeld for the umpteenth time (sixth time, to be exact ) I wonder where they'll be doing their roadshow this year - and if that awesome biker dude Chris Pfieffer will be tagging along again! Bands that I will travel for: Lifehouse (oh wait, I already did that! XD), Brand New, Third Eye Blind, Something Corporate, Idlewild, Sigur Ros etc... Actually I think I would love to travel and see almost every band that I love live. That's a rather long list.. Question to everyone: Have you ever pre-ordered an album? I've honestly never seen much live Athlete material!!! Link me to a gooood 24hours live vid please? (pun intended) I'm so glad you love Athlete too. Wouldn't it be ace if they could open for Ash sometime in the future? Haha. I've heard wonderful live stories about them when they toured together with Switchfoot. A real pity that Athlete did not follow Switchfoot when they made that Pacific/Asia tour last year! Are you driving there? Or taking the public transport? If you're driving I can give you directions... Haha. I usually use the Federal Highway to get to Bukit Kiara. Just keep left and turn into the kerinchi link after you see Mid Valley Megamall on your right. Technically, you keep left most of the time and if you follow Mount Kiara, you should be in safe hands. The field/Sunburst venue is also relatively near the Planetarium, so you could look out for those signs too to get there. Plenty of horse-related signboards as well. >Click< You'll see what I mean when you're at the venue Not sure if you would understand that actually lol. Sorry if you don't. If all else fails, just try google maps :] Oh and Taiping is this rather remote are up north where cows would be totally obese because it's just filled with lush greenery and really wonderful trees by the lake. Here's a picture: I simply cannot wait for this getaway. Hopping on a train straight after work tmrw! I'm bringing my Angels & Demons book to read in hopes that it would refresh my memory before the 2nd Tom Hanks movie comes out in May (with Ewan McGregor playing the evil priest )
  9. Joelyn, should we go to Putrajaya one day and just go Dom-sight-seeking? Lol he might still be around hahaha! I know.. the muser meet up that you guys will be having... Here's a plan... eat ramly burger, head to putrajaya for some delicious ice cream waffles at Alamanda and chill+chat :] I just booked my accommodation at Taiping though for this weekend, so I guess it's no longer plausible for me to join in the fun =[ How long will you be around, Nut? Or rather, the question should be: when are you heading back to the better land where Coldplay will be playing? Lol sorry, can you see I'm still a little bitter? Sigh. HI, IF ATHLETE PLAYS SINGAPORE LET'S GO TOGETHER! Front row centre alright? ;] We'll sing our hearts out to Twenty-Four Hours! I would seriously love to listen to that song live. The final tix that I had, it's in Miele's hands now! Hrmmm, but I'll certainly let you know if any of my friend didn't get to sell their tix, perhaps instead of just burning it away, you could get the tix from one of them hahaha. Hey I hear that you're not going for F1 too this year!? If you're halfway through the kilt question ... could you ask him what lies beneath a kilt too?! I'm planning/saving up alright. I'm already eyeing Leeds/Reading Festival 2010! I've also read up on what kind of tickets they sell. (Mind you, the tickets get sold out at least half a year before the actual event! Tickets to the 2009 festival sold out last year August 2008, even before they announced the full set list! So plenty of planning to do...) Usually people go for the weekend+camp ground promotion or whatever it is... It's not exactly affordable for me right now... but there's still time! ...I hope. I'm really upset I won't be able to make it for Battles. Sigh. It's just like that Mono gig last year..! Don't give up for Oasis though.. will you be going alone, or are you meeting up with a friend for Oasis? If you're meeting up then that's most certainly not "anti-social"
  10. If there's one thing that could cheer up your entire weekend, perhaps even the next 6 months, that would be getting news of your purchased F1 tickets (in a way )and also the slightest possibility of actually having lunch with Nick Heidfeld! What a week this has been. First with exam results and ... 2 minutes. That's all it takes to patch a call through that would shelve away your hopes and aspirations. Arrange them neatly in boxes at that corner too, perhaps. Alright, perhaps not so dramatic in that sense. But today, I talked to the managing editor of Junk magazine to turn down her offer of working as an intern with them. Why then in the first place did I even run through all that hard work to get the job?!?! Let's just say that they were perhaps a whole month too late. It sucks that things did not work out and there's still a distinct lump in my throat ever since I made that call this morning. Aida, your text shortly after I made that call was a perfect distraction of sorts and at least right now, I still have something lovely to look forward to (despite knowing the fact that omg if I did intern with JUNK I could have been able to run around to all those gigs and events!!!! Imagine getting access to Rachael Yamagata's gig ... or maybe even a chance to interview Kaiser Chiefs who would be coming down soon?) For that, I cannot be ever more grateful!! You totally rock!! Oh and just as a hint to anyone interested, right now would be the best time to apply for an internship at Junk! Trust me. Hello 2nd year student of media communications technology! Lol. I lurk around the Singapore thread too ;] I've totally put my stalking skills to shame! Didn't take a camera out fast enough huhuhu. I'm not even sure why he was in Putrajaya in the first place :O Regarding Battles: It's on a weekday! Boo. There's no telling whether I'll be working late or not next week. I've just been given a new assignment and I think it'll probably take about a few weeks at least to settle everything. Just curious (and just in case...), where is this Orange club at Jalan P. Ramlee? I'm lazy to do a google search at the moment. Any landmarks around it? Oh and regarding the Sunburst tickets - if you know of any other Korn fans who still haven't got their tix (I think I have 3 more) please please let them know that I'm more than willing to sell them. [shame on them to call themselves Korn fans though if tickets have not been secured yet!] Final item of the agenda... Muser meetup on Sunday March 22nd? Oh noes, I hope I won't be at Taiping for that weekend! I was planning on a getaway from KL over that weekend since Sunburst will be happening then and I could only be reminded of how close we were to listen to Yellow live. I would love to get away as far as possible please. Haha. =[ Well, we'll see how things turn out :]
  11. I think for her to disclose this and to complain about Radiohead being "mean" isn't exactly necessary if she is [and I quote] obsessed [unquote] with Radiohead. While I can't be a judge for this, am pretty damn sure Miley wouldn't be able to treat all her fans nicely. It would certainly come to a point of unintentional disappointment caused by her...
  12. I had the greatest surprise today. Well okay it's not that great of a surprise but... I finally had the privilege to catch up on the movies I have missed since started working, so today I watched two movies, one being Seven Pounds and the other Watchmen! (Tomorrow, the Reader and Doubt perhaps?) While we all know about the Watchmen trailer using Muse's song, what came as a surprise was that I did hear a Muse song in one of those movies today, and it wasn't Watchmen!! When the first piano echo-ey chord of Feeling Good came on in the middle of Seven Pounds, I actually gasped out loud in the very quiet cinema. As it became clear with Matt's distinct vocals, I became more and more animated. The movie wasn't exactly a gasp-y or happy movie to begin with but I got so excited hearing Muse! Definitely made the movie a lot .. well, cheerful since it's seriously a pretty depressing movie. Ok perhaps I'm a bit quick to judge because I can't see Will Smith apart from the mafia look, but let's just say I had a really bad case of running nose towards the end of the movie.. Watchmen. Oh my lovely "watch" men. Billy Crudup will always hold dear to me, whether he's an ass (literally ) or not. How kick ass (OK, I swear I didn't mean to use ass this often..) is the fact that Dr Manhattan is actually a watch man's son?! The sight of Mr Crudup holding a watch! Certainly made me feel like re-watching Tim Burton's Big Fish where he plays Ewan McGregor's son (in a way) :] I cannot wait til Billy Crudup shares the screen with Christian Bale, Johnny Depp and David Wenham in Public Enemies!!! Anyway, regarding the movie ... Hey Joelyn, perhaps you could share your thoughts on this with us I love that Zack Snyder, the director, made a lot of fanboys happy on his take with this graphic novel. I hope he'll get to direct the 300 sequel movie that has been on the rumour mill as well!
  13. WHAT. Singapore again, and not Malaysia?!?! Perhaps we just can't tolerate the intense Gallagher-Gallagher love (read: cussing) here. My sister would be pleased to hear this! Although I think she just got back from Paris at that time Tee, please go on our behalf! I hope your mom would allow you to change the flight dates. I wonder if I should skip work for two weeks, head down to Singapore on the 4th and stay til April 15th for the Rachael Yamagata gig at Esplanade... Eh no wait. Sepang F1 GP is on the 5th of April!! OK, scratch that, I can't go for Oasis. ---------- Debbie, glad you had a funn time at Jason Mraz's gig! Were you seriously attempting to compare it with MUSE? My friend Andy (that guy who has a signed DCFC setlist) went to the gig too! I hate that when he's in Malaysia I couldn't even meet up with him because of work :[ He ate mee goreng near the stadium and had diarrhoea.. lol ok too much info? Haha. He mentioned that the gig was a little predictable though - could be because it's his 2nd time watching Jason Mraz after Singfest! I love polaroid cameras! It's a real shame that they're no longer producing the film for it
  14. Melee! You know, you can read Ricky(Melee's guitarist)'s blog here. He has plenty of Mike pictures posted up randomly (and the other Melee guys too.. haha) Hopefully I'll be able to go to UK in the Summer of 2010 after my advanced dip. That's the plan anyway, but we'll see how it goes. If I do happen to be in the land where Muse is from in 2010, I don't think I should give up a chance to see them headline the Reading/Leeds festival!!! Yipes that's pretty late - we'll only be able to talk like half an hour before heading back coz it's really not safe to merayau around KL late at night too. Sigh.
  15. Matt would most certainly have the loveliest hands holding those horse reins! IS IT CRAZY THAT I'M ALREADY MAKING PLANS TO BUY LEEDS FESTIVAL TIX FOR 2010? Regardless if Muse is playing or not, I'm already preparing myself to get 'em Summer 2010 tickets!! but wow, if Muse would seriously be headlining then ...... DOUBLE ICING ON THE CAKE FOR ME!!! (on the contrary I don't actually like icing on cake haha..) Some of my friends say I'm crazy for thinking so far ahead - but don't they know that Reading/Leeds tickets would sell out in the matter of minutes months before the final lineup is confirmed?! ------------------- Joelyn, we shall mourn together for not going to Mraz... lol. Would be fun to hang out with you after work! What time do you get off? 10pm? This is year is definitely going to be a good year of album releases!
  16. LOL omg it is! Travis' Turn a dead give away that was me? Heh.. I was bored one night, decided to randomly write a Top 11 that I last listened. Hahaha! I thought it was a secluded thing. What a half embarrassing list That's still pretty cool though that they're spreading the love! I actually had a little email conversation with April Kuan, the awesome lady behind JUNK! (She was also in the Nokia release thing last year in Singapore when Lifehouse played for the private show!! Had the privilege to talk to Jason Wade I bet.) Too bad JUNK already hired a 6-month intern and also they didn't want an accountant to be added to the list I certainly wouldn't be slaving off with audit work right now. Hrmmm. KORN!? Sorry, I'm selling my 11 tickets off. (No, it's not for my 8 boyfriends Joelyn lol, it's 10! Haha! ) Any takers? (the tickets, that is.. ) That Incubus update totally put a smile to my face! Awww, I love how candid all of them were! As for the taste of symphonic monster - waaahh the cellos are to die for at certain parts! It reminded me at first as something off The Dark Knight but then as it became more apparent that the whole thing has a life of its own, a little more futuristic at parts I daresay (must be Matt's kerja ) the ending could've been more dramatic but I also like that it has a gradual ending so no complains there I suppose :] Last but not least, before I get some rest... HAPPY 9 MINUTES EARLY 2nd ANNIVERSARY OF OUR MUSE KL CONCERT!!!!!!! HAPPY 2ND ANNIVERSARY SINCE THE AWESOME MUSE KL CONCERT! <3 You guys are the best bunch of fun-filled fans and friends in a community, even for the ones I have met offline Here's hoping we'll all celebrate plenty of anniversaries to come together!
  17. Did you buy your Sunburst tickets yet? I have 9 to sell - if Coldplay's really not coming. Bring your friends along! lol. I'm actually hoping I would score some free Jason Mraz tickets. Haha... Funny, they deleted the post with that quote on the Sunburst forum! I can't afford the $248 ones I believe... That's like half a thousand Ringgit No doubt I feel like I'm in need of an adventure, but I think if I'm paying that much already, I might as well fly to London and see them at Wembley or something... though that would also cost a lot haha. At least it's in a different environment though :] So apart from Nut here, who else would be going for the Coldplay gig? Beetlebum I bought a Graham Coxon CD for my sister's Christmas present last year. She used to make me listen to Country House, Tender etc. And of course, my favourite music video ever still goes to Blur's . There's just something about that lovable milk carton! -------- Debbie, I'm hoping that the pirates were pulling an early April fool's joke on us! I mean, I know I don't have much hope on that already, but ... never say never? Maybe they can get a loan from the government and pay the downpayment to get Coldplay! After all, interest rates are extremely low - plus, the Birtish pounds conversion is only £1 = RM5.3 thesedays :[ I swear, someday if I can manage to get a hold of a good music company bringing international acts in, I would ... do a much better job!
  18. AND you have friends that would call you in at the last minute to invite you to a Stars gig!!! Aww bollocks. Last night when I came home from work - the $88 and $158 Coldplay tix were already sold out I guess there won't be a Singapore trip this March for me ... I was thinking of taking the bus down to Sg from Johor this time! Flying down to Johor only costs RM78 (return) on AirAsia! ---------------- I found this on the Sunburst forum btw: Oh yeah, and I bought 11 tickets. To think I almost would've been able to meet KORN personally! Hah. I guess I'll only believe the proper lineup once JUNK posts it up or something. The people that you talk to during the media events or even the people at booths can't really be depended on,I have to say. 311 and Korn huh? I guess it'll be a lot easier for me to sell off my tickets then. Hopefully. I'm definitely selling them off if Coldplay's not coming!
  19. and also an 8 year old boy broke his ribs because he was in the front row for the Muse Singapore concert! -------------------- Sorry to turn this thread into a girlie thread, but ... Have you guys seen the trailer to Xmen Origins: Wolverine? That, is none other than the actor(Taylor Kitsch) who'll be playing Gambit! My favourite X-men character of all times! Although I do have a soft spot for Cyclops as well, but for some reason Jubilee and Gambit were always my favourite mutants I'm getting rather pumped up for the movie, which opens May 1st. I'm even more excited about Gambit's appearance in the movie. This guy is certainly contributing a LOT of hand porn only from the trailer... Sorry if that all seemed rather shallow. Had to find a reason to look forward to May before heading back to work again tmrw!
  20. ^ That's a definite front row there! I hope you get to meet them during soundcheck
  21. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! I LOVE ALL OF YOUS! Eeee That certainly cheered me up, thanks for posting up the pic Hey when do you start your Singapore classes? :] How would one usually get to Singapore from JB actually? Curious, because hey - who knows, I may just sell off my Sunburst tix and get those Coldplay Singapore tickets! I'm not sure if I have faith in Sunburst anymore I think it was about ... 2pm when I noticed 3 figures dressed in black on stage. Ash were around the area for a good 2 hours or more. I still can't quite believe they played a for us..! The best part was that the fence/barricade wasn't up yet at that time, so I think Tim/Rick/Mark were a litttle worried we might just climb up the amps and run to them on stage... hahaha. No lah, we'll never do that. They looked so relaxed and Tim even had time to scratch his back during Twilight of the Innoncents
  22. Boy, it seems that Penang really is the place to get all the DVDs at the cheapest price! I would love to get the first season of Veronica Mars! GG fantasy? Like dating Dean? lol! I'm a spoiler whore and I can't help but wiki stuff usually - so fret not about spoilers because, I've already read about who Rory and Lorelai will end up with...! XD I love that Adam Brody wears a pair of chucks all the time I actually sat through painful hours of watching The OC just because of him. Seth & Summer were so cute together! Couldn't really care much for Ryan/Marissa even though I suppose they were the "main" couple...? Something a little Muse related - while queueing up for the 20(30?)% off tickets for Muse two years back, I actually bought a magazine that had Adam Brody in the cover to read while waiting in line ;] What were you guys doing when you queued up? I think I remember Faz being numero uno and she refused to let people cut queue lol Kudos to you for that btw (albeit late)!! ---------------------------- Kaito as in KAITO NAKAMURA?! :O! -------------------------------- Wembley KOC or album KOC? lol eitherway, that's certainly one way to get all pumped up! I pity the other side of lawyers who would have to go against a pumped-and-Mused-up you in Court Too bad my work requires a total cubicle-d life though. Lol i love that you decorate your table! That was the first thing I wanted to do - to personalize my little own cubicle/space so that I enjoy my workplace. My sister told me not to do that though - for some reason She says it's not exactly the right place for me to talk about music and concerts and F1 to my colleagues since I'm a total newbie. So right now, while you have awesome posters, lyrics and poems pinned up, I only have my signed Ash phoenix and a Mogwai newspaper cutting in my file to keep me happy... And also Tolkein's The Hobbit in my bag because who knows, I might just lock myself in the pantry and read the book for about 10 minutes if I get really irked lol. Why yes, James McAvoy was the reason I watched Wanted. I was extremely curious as to how the faun in Narnia (Mr Tumnus!) would turn out as an (almost) ordinary person without hoofs. Haha. I wish I caught Becoming Jane! I've never heard about Anne Hathaway's attempt of being Jane Austen until the newspaper printed a small column for it! James was also an absolute dear in Penelope! Always a joy to watch him ---------------------- Grrr indeed! ------------------- Lol I wishh =[
  23. I think the Grammy's this year was overshadowed by that whole Chris Brown/Rihanna incident. Malaysian fans aren't gonna be pleased to know that they're Feb 13th show will be postponed... I'm currently doing my practical training with a small audit firm. I chose not to apply for work in the Big 4 just yet because I thought in a smaller firm, you'll be able to be exposed to different fields. While this may partially be true, you will also be dealt with a lot more responsibility because on the first day of work itself, I was already given a dormant company to audit! This much I can say, that auditing is not exactly my calling I guess but hey - you'll have to get through the tough part in life first, right? The firm I'm working at has a lot of paper work and it's more traditional in its auditing ways - meaning there aren't much computers involved in the job. Much to my dismay, because my online time is rather limited now Since I'm only a meagrely paid intern, the big fat paycheck is almost far-fetched. Definitely not a strong motivator lol. But hey - it's all about the experience, right? *thinks positively* How did your sister get through her internship/first year of work? ------------ BTW! Because I refuse to sleep, and I was clicking on your profile, stumbled upon your blog and - OMG I just finished season 1 of Gilmore Girls!!!! I borrowed all 7 seasons from my friend right after my final paper last month and I just started season 2 yesterday!! The funny part is that I told myself to watch one episode of GG (Gilmore Girls, not Gosspi Girl) every night before heading to bed. I think that might just cheer me up enough to endure the next day at work just to come back home and catch another episode! Also, I am totally a Dean/Rory shipper back then although I've never actually watched seasons 3 and beyond properly because I dunno, I kinda stopped watching after she kissed Jesse (Milo) LOL! I might change this time and be a Jesse/Rory shipper though - who knows! I can't wait for that episode with Adam Brody in it! I remember he appeared briefly as Lane's boyfriend before he went off for The O.C.! "Because I love you, you idiot!" Haha, while that may seem completely cheesy, I thought that was also (almost) the most romantic line Rory has ever said (and they talked... a LOT) I love Michel or however you spell his name. And Luke. Gosh - Luke <33
  24. I'll comment about the Twilight/Stephenie Meyers/Muse thing when I can come up with something clever.. heh. Right now though ... How do you guys go through work without complaining much about it? Because I come home every day and I can't seem to stop all the negative thoughts. Not only is it distracting, but it feels like I'm losing my personality every time I put on my formal wear and become more like that guy in Wanted (before he became an assassin and all god-like)... I need help or perhaps the right motivation. Sigh. I can't even get excited for Coldplay anymore. That could be due to the stupid nanas people (according to the hundreds of Junkonline comments ). I'm so glad they announced the date in Singapore!! (Monday night eeek) If only KL was in that list though, that would totally make my week. I wonder how much are the SG tickets? Who's going for Kaiser Chiefs btw? Aside from Tee If Secondhand Serenade played a special showcase of sorts here, will you guys go for it? Grammys! I caught a little bit of Radiohead and I saw Coldplay accepting the Rock Album of the Year award as well as the Jonas Brothers + Stevie Wonders collaboration - definitely a cringe-worthy moment. Also caught Dave Grohl totally rocking out the drums with Paul McCartney! I've never been a huge fan of the Grammys though.
  25. Only 7 months left or so til we listen to new Muse materials!! Weee! Ah, can't read up on all the previous posts now, but this I have to say: Pineapple Concerts, what in the world are you doing? While you may say that you are leading Malaysia and taking a step forward into a world of music festivals and such - I simply cannot believe that your launch event was nothing but a total confusion (at least for me) and what in the world was up with the announcement of your line up?! Have you not learned a thing or two from your counterparts like the people who run SingFest? When Travis jumped on the wagon that they'll be performing, the PRs immediately got to work. This happened months, I repeat, months before the actual Singfest date. I am certainly hoping for their sake, that this is certainly not just a ploy to release information about Coldplay's coming to Malaysia after the early bird period. Could it be that Coldplay's simply a rumour to get things going? The people my sister and I talked to last night confirmed to us that Coldplay would indeed be playing Sunburst next month. How much of that is true? Well, we trust them enough to buy the early bird tickets at the event last night. Worst thing that could happen? Chris Martin and gang for some reason can't fly out from their Auckland gig (March 19th) in time for their Saturday show. If that so happens, well then N.E.R.D fans perk your heads up, I'm willing to sell my tickets!
