    Doms Drums

I found and bought a used iron cobra single a couple days ago. ballin'.
  2. http://www.myspace.com/montywilt I just recorded some acoustic tracks. Listen to them and let me know what you think.
  3. he is a music industry and recording major at texas state, so he has access to the studios and such...
  4. we only recorded the vocals in a studio since these were just rough demos. I recorded the guitars at home using my recto pre. I programmed the drums since we dont have a drummer. Honestly they sound damn considering how many loopholes I took. Also the singer didn't do a very good job at the final mix of all the instruments, I had him correct the drums volumes a few times because he kept mixing them so damn low. thanks for the comments though.
  5. http://www.myspace.com/abravemorning give it a listen and tell me what you guys think and what you would change if you could change anything. Thanks a lot, Monty
  6. yeah we were pretty limited on the mixing because i recorded the guitars and bass on my computer and sent him the WAVs. the vocals were done in a studio. I know what you are talking about it being dry at sometimes, the most apparent is at the end of "in classic slash and burn fashion" when he yells "this pain inside...". the reason it sounds so thin is because there is so much layering throughout the song that when they climax of the song hits there is only one track and it just sounds wierd. as in more vocal harmonies, we could never get the bassist and singer into the same room to work on that together so when we recorded the demos we just decided we would work on it later because i was heading up to school soon. we did mix the final stuff in protools HD which was a plus. as for influences, you got one of them right, i am a huge coheed fan, atleast their first 2 albums, im not a fan of good apollo. saosin (especially the "translating the name" ep), at the drive-in, and mineral were my other main influences. our name was actually pulled from mineral's "gloria" and for alterbridge, i have never actually listened to a full song of theirs. thanks for the insight.
  7. yeah, our singer is a music industry major too, i thought his mixes would be perfect, but i like my mixes of other songs better. anyways, what were your thoughts on our songs musically?
  8. http://www.myspace.com/abravemorning my bands myspace, we opened it up a couple days ago. Got 3 demos on there. the drums are mixed quieter than I like but no matter what I tell the singer, he doesn't boost them enough. I think he's mixing them to the parts with clean guitars and singing...
  9. i like the vocals. the distortion needs more body and warmth to it, but everything else sounds great
