Travis III
What, really? Half of the songs on Showbiz are full of angst and complaining about life in general, that's not exactly cheesy, though, is it? Once again, Um, yes it is. Cheese and angst are not mutually exclusive. Sober is cheesier than NSC and GL combined, IMO.

And don't forget Unintended. And what's the deal about all the teenage angst in Showbiz? I haven't noticed any Not much anyway.

Do you actually listen to any of the songs off Showbiz? Not sure what makes Unintended cheesy...and Sober is just a really bad song about loving to drink. Not really cheesy, just a crap ass song. choco_chia83
Absolution is the worst put-together album. I just don't think it flows at all. I know people complain about BHaR, but I just don't like how it was put together. lolwut. The way the album flows is just amazing. Each song has somehthing in common yet differs in many ways. It almost felt like a concept album.
choco_chia83
Furthermore, I don't really like the heavier songs off of Absolution, like SS and Hysteria. They're really nothing special, though they're not by any means bad. The slower songs (B&H, SFA, Blackout, etc.) are amazing, though. But those are like..the best part of that album. The only angsty teenager songs I can think of is Showbiz, and to a certain degree Falling Down and Escape I guess. Unintended is a cheesy love song. What's not cheesy about it? But those are like..the best part of that album. Hysteria is Meh. Stockholm Syndrome is epic, but I don't consider it the best part of the album. choco_chia83
Unintended is the worst song Muse has ever made. It's just flat, cheesy, and uninspired.
MattXXI
Yes, I do. The only angsty teenager songs I can think of is Showbiz, and to a certain degree Falling Down and Escape I guess. Unintended is a cheesy love song. What's not cheesy about it? Just because it's a love song, doesn't automatically make it cheese worthy. It's actually quite a moving song. Also, I consider Cave, Uno, and Muscle Museum to be fairly angsty. So that makes it Showbiz, Falling Down, Uno, Cave, Escape, and MM. That's half the album. Just take a look at the lyrics and it's pretty obvious.

I don't think it's a bad song, but it is cheesy. "You're so solid/it burns inside of me..." sounds pretty cheesy to me.
Travis III
But those are like..the best part of that album. As much as I enjoy SS and Hysteria, I do think that the album's slower songs have the edge over them. That's right, SS < Endlessly, IMO. Haha, I'm going to get flamed for this. Hat
Showbiz doesn't have angsty songs? Have you heard Uno, Showbiz, Escape, Overdue and probably a lot others that I can't really remember the lyrics to.

Whenever I like someone I never go up to them and say 'you're so solid, bb ' When lyrics are dumb, I consider them cheesy. Sober has dumb lyrics. Another example: I think most rap music is cheesy. Because the words are lame.

magicalcombatboots
I thought something having cheesy lyrics meant having lyrics that were cliché? I think cheesiness is mostly tackiness. This includes cliches. That's just my opinion. Though the definition doesn't really matter.
