Personally shredding isnt my thing, and I would never listen to anything like Dragonforce for example. But to say that anybody who shreds automatically has no soul is a bit much really. Ever listened to ACDC? Listen to some of Angus' solos. He mixes slow blues with what can only be described as shredding, and nobody is about to say Angus has no passion or soul. Have to hand it to GSK, the guy is dedicated. I mean, he isnt very good, but lets be fair, he clearly loves playing and he clearly puts a lot of effort into practicing etc. Still a dick though.
