Jazzthief
In the studio outro of Muscle Museum Matt's vocals are put through a guitar amp for the distortion. However, live just use strong fuzz which doesn't even sound half as good as the studio outro. So the question is, why don't they use a guitar amp for the vocal distortion live as well? I know that it's not just flicking a button, but it still seems achievable.
muse59200
Probably because of noise and larsen.
Spectrum IV
Because it'd be one less excuse for them not to play it.

kueller
Did he run a mic through his amp or did he sing into his guitar?
MyChemGd1234
I think matt used a talkbox to make this sound D: so he had his guitar sound coming out of the box in his mouth and then he sung it

Jaicen
Matt used to run the vox through an amp live. I know that he had what appeared to be a tweed Bassman for a while, you can see it on the Jools Holland performance of Hyper Music. I know that's not necessarily confirmation of what he's using for Muscle Museum, but if he's using that amp for HM and Deadstar etc, he's probably using it for MM.
