Dubstep was one of the main choices wasn't it?
-
I'd definitely embrace an album full of rock fused with electronics: TAB, MOTP, DI etc show how good Muse are in this particular genre
I'd love the shit out of it.

I was mildly obsessed with them when Abso came out, and continued with it with BH&R. I listened to Showbiz a couple of times but didn't like it that much, and somehow OOS never got on my radar which is ridiculous because it's absolutely 100% completely the kind of thing I LOVED back then.
Then I went through some Very Bad Times and lost interest in music completely so The Resistance and T2L passed me by completely when they came out; then I listened to some things off T2L and was like OMG what happened to them they used to be so GOOD
Then Drones came out and I HATED it. Was really upset because I'd read reports that they were going back to their original hard rock roots and I'd got over my Very Bad Times and was really into my music again. I listened to one song, went dear god that's just dross what a shame all the good bands go shit. Then someone said whaaaaaat it's really good and I realised my mistake: I'd listened to it on shuffle by mistake and Aftermath was the first song I heard When I listened to it PROPERLY I loved (most of) it and for some reason have been really quite a lot obsessed with them ever since. The only bands I've ever got this enthused about before are Queen and Blur

Is the O2 the Millennium Dome?

But I always think... well, there might not be another album or tour, most bands stop, and even if there is it won't be for another 3 years, and life's short etc you gotta do these things while you can
This is me. I'm a massive Queen fan, but I was 10 in 1986 and my mum decided I was too young to go and see them at the huge stadium gigs they played on the Magic Tour, even with my dad to look after me. Next time, she said.
I mean I've seen Brian May and Roger Taylor solo twice each and them with Adam Lambert twice but it's not exactly the same. Now I know I COULD have seen Muse many times in the past but there are reasons I didn't (money, nasty controlling boyfriend, going slightly mad) but now I have re-discovered them and they have become my joint favourite band I am going to watch the shit out of their shows. I was so pissed off that I could only catch them once on this tour because the UK leg clashed absolutely perfectly with my going on holiday (it's like they planned it...)
I did have a point to this but I've lost it along the way, sorry.

By that time it'll probably be JFK + Panic Station, i reckon.

You do though. Every single male pop band get criticised for having an audience of mainly teenage girls.(along with criticism of the girls themselves)
And god forbid a boy or man actually likes them.
-
I think all gigs I've ever been to were mostly male. Probably about two thirds male overall in general? I didn't notice anything different at the gig I went to.
-
ah crap, I got those two confused. Cologne was the one with Fury, Supremacy and Assassin then, right?
.
Cologne Gloria? Coz none of them got played at the arena (I WISH).

Morgan looked so, so unimpressed with the whole thing.
I'm also taking from Matt's Tweets that while he might make the setlists, the others usually get to outvote him on the stage outfits. Thank god.
I'd like to see how far he could push Chris until he throws him at the drumkit again

 forever

I love that only Morgan looks even slightly embarrassed. Dom is embracing it thoroughly.

The Resistance knock-on effect?

Thing is, a two and a half hour gig for Muse would have at least 15-20 minutes of filler. So really you're probs only looking at around two hours and ten minutes of actual song-time, which is only a little over what the Unsustainable Tour was. Taking into account that, plus the amount of pop/soft stuff they'd inevitably play, I don't think it'd be that draining but that's just me.
Personally, I'd be 100% down for it. Kinda surprised that Dom feels he's already hitting his limit tbh.
They're almost 20 years older than you, mate
Srsly for me I can't take much more than two hours of stompingly loud music after I've been standing around for hours (and can't take much more even when I haven't). I've always been like that as well, not just since the brain fart a couple of years ago: I can get terrible headaches after long gigs or nights out - and I don't drink, so it's not THAT either I seem to remember reading that Matt gets migraines as well; I wonder if that has anything to do with it?
-
I couldn't stand a 3h show whoever the band is, but if they cut the wankery they can easily play more than 20 songs in 2h.
Yeah same here. I wouldn't really want more than about two hours of any live show; I just couldn't take it. I can't imagine what playing one must feel like, let alone doing it night after night after night. But yeah there's definitely room for two or three more songs in the length of show they have.

I'd forgotten about this video
It is the greatest drunken famous person video of all time. WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE???
-
Not that there hasn't been videos/interviews of Matt saying stuff to Dom in a tone that seems rather insulting, because there are.
Like shouting "FUCK OFF YOU CUNT!" in his face?
That's what happens when three adults have to spend so much time together.I'm not sure I'd class Matt as an adult...

I suspect this person buys GnR and Rolling Stones t-shirts in TopShop.

THANK YOU! I've ALWAYS hated that & as much as I enjoy Reapers, I hated that so much, just ruins the theme for me.
I can't bloody stand the word "babe". I dumped a bloke once for calling me it even when he knew how much it annoyed me. It's used so much as a filler word in lyrics and I got right pissed off with it on my first listen to Drones. I shall replace it with "now" instead coz that works well mostly.
Which Muse song have you recently discovered or rediscovered the awesomeness of?

Why did no one boot some sense into me when I used to skip over The Small Print? Dear god I'm such a fool.
