  1. TR OoS DRONES Abso BH&R ST T2L Showbiz
  2. I don't think it's a trend. Feels a lot more like a bad decision waiting to happen given Matt's lyrical standards and the subject matter he decided to write about on TC. Besides, much of the rest of the album has Matt's best lyricism since TR, if not BH&R.
  3. It’d be a steal if either audience fully accepted them, lol. Prog is more than song structure and lyrical themes though. Odd instrumentation and influences from disparate styles of music are just as (if not more) important to the genre. Matt’s frequent use of romantic and classical themes and chord progressions in his songs certainly give them a bit more prog cred than your average pop rock song.
  4. I mean, yeah. I agree wholeheartedly. I was just disappointed as I had an odd feeling he'd like this album and be a strong voice of positivity towards it amongst all the youtube reviewers. Doesn't affect my thoughts towards it, but might get more people to check it out.
  5. Welp, Melon's review dropped. Turns out he found The Void, Algorithm, and Blockades tired and boring, which left him only Pressure through SH to actually enjoy (not surprised he didn't care for TC, DD, and GUAF). I was hoping he'd like the 80s / synth wave elements on TV, Algorithm, and Blockades, but sadly he did not. But at least he liked Propaganda and BITM, I had a good feeling he'd like those two! Anyway, I still love this album. Take all reviews with a grain of salt, especially with Muse, because the odds are usually against the critics liking them in the first place.
  6. A duet would inevitably split this board to pieces... I’m all for it!
  7. Honestly though, HTAILY has never connected with me like it has with most Muse fans. It feels incomplete to me, whereas Guiding Light always puts a smile on my face in all of its cheesy glory. Now Spiral Static? That's a masterwork. Makes a killer closer after four enjoyable, but sub-par tracks on the bonus track version of Showbiz.
