  1. Well one of the original winners I guess bailed out or something (idiots). So We were like a last minute pick to fill in that kind of idea. At that point in time I was still so involved with the current album, next album was not even a thought yet. Weird ground of people that won. There were 5 winners, and they all got a +1. One girls +1 didn't come with cause she was too hung over or something, and the girl that did come hardly said a word. Another was a kid (18sh?) and his dad. He showed up in his Resistance Album shirt, and had went to the store and had bought a copy of The 2nd Law to be signed. I shit you not he opened it and removed the cellophane almost directly infront of Matt and Dom to get it signed. Another ground seemed like okay fans. I ended up becoming good friends with the last girl that won though. Partied it up Pre MSG show. Still stay in touch now. She met Chris at his soccer game and got me an autograph and mailed me it. She also flew to Pittsburgh and met us there and went to that gig. It turned out to be the infamous Catherines 100th gig and we got Fury and Agitated. Unreal experience, I don't know how to make the next tour any better than this one was!
  2. Uhhh I entered a contest through twitter on SiriusXM. They draw came and went I heard nothing (as usual). Then Monday morning SiriusXM messaged me on twitter told me I won. Turns out the event was tuesday morning in NYC (I'm basically in Toronto). Upon reading the rules it was not open to Canadians. I asked them, and they said because it was so last minute, they would allow it. So I got off work and me and a buddy drove over night to NYC. Went to the event, could hardly even function I was so excited and it all felt so surreal. It was only Matt and Dom who were there, had a ping pong tournament with them, they did some interviews with the guys and got to shoot the shit with them briefly, get something signed. Even though Chris was not there, a friend I met at the competition ended up going and finding him at his soccer match he hosted in NYC and got him to sign something for me too and mailed it to me (some people are just amazing). We got to keep our paddles from the Ping Pong tournament, and since we were basically tourists in NYC we still had them on us at the concert (which the band gave us tickets to as well. It was only suppose to be for winners of the tournament, and we came 2nd). We were left stage one of first few rows, right next to the upper platform. When matt was up there singing for one song (can't recall which now) 4 of us all waved our paddles and yelled at Matt, he saw us and laughed at us between lyrics, was pretty awesome. Also got Dead Star (after just seeing it in Toronto). Also got Fury/Agitated in Pittsburgh. Overall, amazing tour, 5 gigs, ping pong, and some epic rarities.
  3. I agree. I was tempted before to pickup a signed something of Muse online, but never did cause of the price and high amount of fakes that exist. Now that I have my OoS signed by the boys after playing a game of ping pong with them, I'm so glad I really got to have them sign it and not just buy it.
  4. Two kinds of people in this situation. Ones that want it new, and will be patient on the waiting list, and ones that want it now, and will pay the money to get it now. Look at all the people that are selling PS4's for double the shelf price simply because they are hard to come by right now, yet in a few months time they will be a lot easier to find. Personally I'd wait for a brand new one if I am spending the money, but there are people that would want one now if they could have it, especially if it was in like new condition. The seller will either find someone who will spend money for it now, or the price will start to come down. No job sadly means you have to find money somehow.
  5. Ah damn, was hoping for a person even more desperate to get rid of it haha. I'm still working on my replica too, need cash for that.
  6. Damn cool mod, but that is expensive! I'm still slowly banking away cash to continue my Mattocaster build. Electronics are so expensive between the Sustainer and the pickup from manson!
  7. Did he build the neck for the LEDs on the 007, or where did that come from? Never heard of anywhere making those!
  8. You are right, a few images are in both galleries. It would 'make sense' that the ones in the gallery for the movie, are things in the movie though... Quite possibly could not be the case though... I still haven't seen any source of where this information came from that those songs were not in the movie?
  9. Gigwise seemed to quite enjoy the movie, and sounded to be somewhat of a fan too. They also posted the 'official stills' in their article, which do not seem to be from Rome, nor from Rumor, appear in the movie. I will take the removed tracks as a grain of salt until there is a source behind it. Blackout/Map/Unintended/SS were on all HAARP, so having them cut doesn't seem too far out of the question. Liquid State, I expected it to be in, but Chris might not have felt comfortable with how the live version sounded in the recording, there also could have been a mistake made (not the first time muse has cut songs due to incredibly small mistakes). Unsustainable is beyond surprising to be cut though. The song is epic, and it is the UNSUSTAINABLE TOUR after all... The Official Images Muse has on film.muse.mu is what I find more interesting than the 'official stills' as posted by Gigwise. I see 6 images there which appear to all be from SS. Two pictures of the TV's on the pyramid, Followed by two other pictures where you can see Dom is the main focus in the TV style pyramid still, both of which Matt is playing the Red Glitter., and lastly, two more pictures of Matt with the red glitter, first of him holding it above his head, the second of him tossing it.Far as I can tell, SS is the only song the red glitter showed up. There is also b-stage picture from what appears to be two different songs, some where Matt has his guitar on his back, and others where he has no guitar, Dom is on the small drum kit for these pictures. Which songs did Dom play the small kit for? You Can see Matt doing the Waving of the arms to the crowd, common with Undisclosed Desires. There is previous footage I have seen where Matt layed in the stage as seen in one picture and sang Blackout. Lastly, I really hope that Isolated System is not a DVD song, I can watch the music video at home, that should be the credits or something.... Thoughts on my ramble?
  10. I think gig wise saw gig pictures and used them, not realizing where they were from. Also could be the case that the albums are mixed up? I found one gig album in 2004 I believe it was that had a pic of the 2nd law arena stage. Edit: Found it again. http://muse.mu/images,la-inland-invasion_54.htm 2004 pic with the current stage setup.
  11. Intonation will have very little effect on the lower frets, it more as you go up the neck. Possibly nut is slotted too high, or a high fret? Does the note play a little sharp?
  12. I prefer Phase 90, love the slow sweep on it, especially if you have it after your distortion or fuzz.
  13. It just sends it to Guitar Rig Pitch Shifter, as I do not currently own a whammy pedal. Living with other people makes it hard to justify buying lots of gear to use with amps and such. I have a Marshall and a couple floor pedals (fuzz factory, wah, phaser, delay), but I never really use them because tube amps just don't don't great at low volume. I just model everything in guitar rig and can rock out any time I want and not bother anyone! The end functionality of what I do is the exact same as Dom, who sends signals to a physical pedal, just my pedal is digital.
  14. With guitar rig, you can have two sequencers controlling two whammy pedals right at the beginning of your chain. Each sequencer has a different pattern as needed for the song. Have the default for the setting to have first seq/whammy on, and the 2nd off. Then you bind the on/off for all 4 effects to one button on the foot controller. One tap switches effects and patterns
  15. According to MuseWIki, Matt did Big Freeze with the boss pedal.
  16. Cheers, appreciate it. Ya, the les paul just doesn't work well, head stock angle kills the vibration, plus 3 tuners per side changes all the string lengths compared to a tele/strat headstock. At least I am building a Mattocaster right now, so I will no longer have that problem in a couple months. In the video I am actually strumming open string at first fret, during the slower less dub step part (I don't know how to explain it ha), it sounds half decent, but I really didn't like how it sounded during the beginning/end parts of the song. As for the MIDI, I did it all myself as I was having issues getting Doms to work at all. I did all control automation of Guitar Rig with Reaper. Making of DVD, Live in Japan are both pretty good resources to see a lot of parts. Hard one to get good fan video fo because matt spends a lot of time kind of facing away, looking at dom/chris while they play, it isn't very crowd engaging.
  17. Well I gave a full cover a shot. I think today was the first time I didn't like my Les Paul because Neck Scrapes just don't work at all. bGH54fqNthI Not unhappy with the results.. could still improve for sure though
  18. Hmm.. I found it really easy to do all the movements of the pedal with the way I did it, click and drag. I found the MIDI editor a bit confusing and wasn't really sure what to do haha
  19. I will have to give that a shot and see. Are you controlling the Whammy parameters differently than I am as well? Very new to Reaper, or any form of audio software in general, and there is a lot to digest in there at once and know what does what haha.
  20. Would love to see an easier way. I couldn't find away to send any signals to the Whammy effect in Guitar Rig to change the program of the effect. I was going to do it through 4 different channels so I could be more organized with the effects, and just route them one after the other, but it created a big input lag. If you know how to change the program of the pedal in guitar rig, I'm listening!
  21. So I've done all the way up to the middle section where Matt sings, my god was that painful, will do the rest tomorrow. I recorded it quick playing along with the MIDI tracks, Sound Cloud rejected my upload though... Guess that means I didn't totally butcher it haha. Edit: got it on youtube. Pretty happy with turn out this far from working on it last night. The only part I need to figure out more is the Neck scrape. I am playing on a Les paul, so the neck scrape doesn't work too well, so i just hit the top 3 strings open and let it go, not the greatest. Also did it with +1 octave which I am thinking of trying on different octave settings. eC0EEEOgcbc If anyone knows how to avoid this sound cloud crap, let me know!
  22. If that is what you did, any chance you could send me the file? This is pain staking to do haha
  23. At work right now, When I get home I will post a screen shot. Pretty much I loaded your MIDI file in, and I only see what looks like a bar graph of the instructions. I cannot see any values for the position of the whammy. Right after the first slide, I noticed a little short bar graph piece and I wasn't sure what it was, That must be the signal to change the program on the pedal. Now this will get interesting for me, because Reaper doesn't have the ability to change the program of the whammy in Guitar Rig 5. I might have to make a rack with multiple Whammys all on different programs, and use each of them as needed... hmm
  24. So I had to create my own MIDI as your file when loaded into Reaper doesn't seem to be helpful even as a starting point. Made a little progress so far. With your MIDI, do you change the program on the Whammy? For parts like the first Slide up and down I guess you could call it, I found the -1 Octave setting to sound best with the tab you have on your youtube video. Can't seem to get something that sounds right for other parts with the same setting. I'm unable to see that data from your MIDI file in Reaper I just started messing with it tonight. Doms MIDI file didn't seem to be useful at all to me in Reaper. I was able to setup Reaper with Guitar Rig, and have starting working on a MIDI patch that'll work with that.
