  1. opinions? i'm confused about the KEY knob on the Boss PS-6. so you will change the KEY in every song? hmmm. it also function as a whammy due to the S-Bend feature? In an NME article, the song was described as 'stadium stomp' and being about the world being in "meltdown." According to previews of the album, Big Freeze is a surprising song with funk elements while retaining a 'Muse-y' sound. [1] In the chorus, you can hear similar vocals to Map of the Problematique. The guitar effect at the start also bares similarities to Map Of The Problematique. Matt later revealed the effect is created with the use of a pitch-shifting pedal made by Boss. Matt claims Boss 'ripped him off' due to the pedal creating such a similar sound to the one he invented for Map Of The Problematique. The song has been compared to U2.
  2. which is better for muse stuffs? germaniun or silicon fuzz face?
  3. actually im looking for my own sound now. hehe my desired sound would be: treble booster for rhythm fuzz for lead whammy for some solos i dont like delays. hehehe right now im looking for a fuzz pedal. hehe
  4. do you have any idea on what songs the keeley compressor is used? or it is always on.? because i thought compressor are only used on clean settings? and Google says compressors are essential effect for guitarists. someone offered his keeley compressor for my flashback which is i think a good deal for me. but i dont know when to use the compressor. even john mayer uses one. hehe
  5. is it advisable to use a multieffects unit for the delays/reverb/phasers/tuner? anyone here uses multieffects for their modulations and time based effects?
  6. i have the small flashback, not the flashbackx4 Amp is not my priority as of now. hehe all i need now is the whammy and a fuzz and also i want my board to be simple. up to 6 pedals maybe. hehe. so i think a fuzz-whammy-crunchbox-flashback will get the job done for me still looking for a nice fuzz though. is the big muff acceptable for muse tones? or a fuzz face is more appropriate?
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RB6Bu9ktr20 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PD5IteX0JCk - madness solo part is it a fuzz? i think i want this kind of tone. ***** so all i need is a good Distortion/Delay/Whammy for the basic sounds right?
  8. Is it advisable to get the Phase/Delay/Reverb/Tuner/EQ in a Multi effects? have you seen the the Zoom MS50g, MS-100bt and the new MS-70cdr? hehe. i only have a SS amp at home, a roland cube. as of now, my stomps are TC Flashback and a Crunchbox and im thinking of selling the flashback to give way for the Zoom Multistomp. because i cant think of a Muse/RATM/Sabbath songs that are delay heavy?
  9. Hi! i just want to know the essential effects for a Muse cover band we will cover Rage Against the Machine and Black Sabbath btw my favorites are Supermasssive Blackhole C.E Deadstar Small Print Neutron Star Collision. right now, im looking into these pedals Fuzz Pedal - Vexter Fuzz Factory? Fuzz Head? or any germanium fuzz will do? Distortion Pedal - Wampler Pinnacle? Wampler Triple Wreck? MI Effects Super Crunchbox? Digitech Whammy? Muse is not much into delays right? because im thinking of buying the Zoom MultiStomp for delays/reverbs and modulations i think the essential stomps for Muse is a good Distortion and Fuzz pedal? and the whammy? *** and i saw these, Matt's pedalboard in 2010 dunlop interview Wah-blue box EQ FuzzHead-Diezel - it means that he boost his diezel with the fuzzhead and fuzz factory ? Fuzz Fact-Diezel Marshall Diezel Egnater thanks.
  10. m.youtube.com/watch?v=RB6Bu9ktr20 this is the supermassive blackhole warchild gig. this is not the fuzz factory right? sounds like a muff?
  11. question! i have a crunchbox clone and it good! but i want a distortion pedal that cleans up well with the volume knob and i found the OCD and Zvex Distortron/Box of Rock ive read before that citizen erased is mid scooped and high gain so, is the gain on the zvex distortron enough for harmonics to cut through? demos on youtube doesnt play it with harmonics. i dont want many pedals.
  12. not reallly, its just that.. i stated before that i dont like the fuzz on PIB. i dont like his fuzz tone back then. but now, on LIVE versions of Madness and Supremacy i really wat to nail that fuzz tone. by the way, im new to effects that is why im not sure on the settings. hehe. ill try it again later. its 2:00am in my country. hehe
  13. ooh. okay. thanks for the link. im just thinking of the fuzz head because no one is mentioning it in the forum . i bought a used wampler leviathan fuzz. wrong purchase i guess. maybe ill try to trade it for an fuzz factory.
  14. how about, maybe the diezel distortion plus the keeley fuzz head? if its really the axe fx. wew. i just love that specific tone. haha.
  15. i cant find the sweet spot fuzz in the live versions of Madness Solo and Supremacy. its like a super tight fuzz. im not really into the plug in baby fuzz. but when i heard the live version solo of madness and supremacy that change it all. i love that tone. Even the new live versions of supermassive blackhole fuzz has been changed to that super tight fuzz. hehe i think first time i hear that fuzz tone is on the Guiding Light solo btw. do you think matt used the fuzz factory into the keeley fuzz ?
