I'm so undecided on Revolt. Probably because I was too busy laughing my head off to form an actual opinion. Though it might just end up being like IBTY - so ridiculous that I end up loving it
Def prefer IBTY to this, because it's musically so "out there". Revolt is pretty safe tbh.

Drones is indeed weird as shit. But it's actually a really interesting idea.
-
I don't actually mind the last bit of Globalist, once I get over the shock. It's more the lack of cohesion than each individual bit being bad which limits the song a bit. Actually more USOE than Explorers now.
-
Hahaha, what the hell? People weren't kidding about the last bit of the Globalist literally being Explorers.
-
Yeeah I agree. I'm just listening to it now and it's ruining what was a relatively good song.
Yeah up to then I was thinking it was working along similar lines to Blackout (which I really enjoy)... but then it went all Explorers.
-
Chop off the last quarter of Aftermath and it'd work a lot better IMO.
-
The backing vocals on Aftermath are just.... unnecessary
-
Yeah I thought Revolt was alright at first but it quickly just becomes completely incoherent
-
Revolt has ruined everything. Im gonna say it
Im gonna say it
Big Freeze 2.0; the Queenening
Defector is way, way more Queen than Revolt.
-
Not a fan of the FROM SOCIETY bits of Defector.
Revolt isn't that bad, but it feels really out of rhythm at times which is just odd.
EDIT: Okay the chorus is pretty... yeah
-
Lol @ the irc chat once it got linked to r/muse. Completely unreadable now.
-
Slightly concerned about those Defector lyrics...
-
The breakdown/solo/bridge/w/e is easily the best part of the song for me.
-
That bridge is amazing.

So, just to clarify, if people "knew what you knew", Matt would no longer be considered a great singer? Expect an extermination drone inbound lest you one day have a platform on which to inform people of this knowledge. You could be a threat to one of Warner's most lucrative properties!
I wasn't worrying and i'm deliriously happy that you know of so many artists, but I didn't say Bennington looking weird means what you thought I meant, I said he looks under strain hitting a lot of his notes, and it reflects in the performance. He sounds strained.
A lot of your posts seem to contain a thin veil of condescension that suggest you think your opinion on certain matters is more valid than other people's, for one reason or another. I'm not the first to take issue with it and I can pretty much guarantee I wont be the last.
ah yes, the age-old "i picked an argument with someone who had blatantly done far more research than me, got shown up, so will distract with tone complaints". never, ever gets old.

All I can think that was wrong with TR production was weak/quiet guitars, everything else seemed crisp/noticeable, it was damn better than BHaR anyway.
That's a pretty big wrong though.
-
Reapers produced in the TR style was basically worst-case scenario for me
-
Complex production =/= Over-produced. Tracks like Madness/UD/Follow Me use a lot of synths/electronics but it fits the type of sound they're going for and it gels whether you like the song or not. Mercy was poorly produced and this sounds a bit over-produced. There are unnecessary effects on the vocals, the mix is too up and down and it generally doesn't gel like the last two albums do.
The mixing is probably less even and less musically tight than TR/T2L tracks, but some of the tracks on those albums were "perfectly produced" to the point of making the tracks uninteresting, tbh.
-
Isolated System is still ahead for me but they're so completely different (as is Exo) that it's a somewhat meaningless comparison
-
It's actually a lot more similar to the live version than I expected it to be (which is a good thing)
-
Dead Inside sounded dreadful wow
i'm not convinced that matt yelling DEAD INSIDE out of nowhere is really a convincing start to a live song
-
The Big Weekend gig was decent, a strong start but things seemed to lose momentum after Mercy. It was great to finally hear the bass in Reapers cut through.
Matt seemed a little off vocally IMO, most notably on KoC, can't put my finger on it but something felt off. There have been a few times on this tour where I've thought he's sounded a bit tired/worn out.
he was off all night vocally, starting from dead inside where he sounded out of breath. missed vocal cues all over the place, didn't attempt the bliss falsetto, skimped out on a few other falsettos too
-
well all up that was one of the weirdest gigs i've ever watched
-
he keeps missing his vocal cues. come on man you've played this song at every gig for close to a decade now

They could have added an actual transition too, rather than just cut to it.
Otherwise - it's not CE2 (no real relation at all tbh) but I actually like it otherwise. It's definitely the song I want to listen to again (which is what I'm doing now).
