I think you've got the wrong thread. Would you like me to point you toward the overrated songs thread?

I honestly don't remember what interview it was, but I know I read it somewhere (I think in 2 different interviews). I'll look for it, though!

I always used to really not like Sober and Overdue. Recently, I've realised that they're really quite fun to listen to (though still some of the weakest Muse songs).

Absolution is the worst put-together album. I just don't think it flows at all. I know people complain about BHaR, but I just don't like how it was put together. Furthermore, I don't really like the heavier songs off of Absolution, like SS and Hysteria. They're really nothing special, though they're not by any means bad. The slower songs (B&H, SFA, Blackout, etc.) are amazing, though.

I stared at that for the longest time before realising that it was "downkeyed" and not "donkeyed" But yeah, I agree with this.

Agreed. It's not the best Muse song by any means, but it's still good, as long as you don't listen to it too many times. I love the beginning.

Fury. It's now probably my favorite B-side.

I agree with the NSC > RbS.... And I love Starlight. Not my second favorite, but more like my fourth or fifth. Just because BH&R is just an amazing album.

You have a good point. I could also argue that AFI has also steadily been growing in popularity, though not quite as much as Muse. But I guess my main point is that if the "regulars" on this board change their attitude, and we simply ignore the people who come in and are negative towards each other and the band, this place could change for the better.

Okay, time for a little rant... So, a little background information about me. I discovered Muse a few months ago, but it wasn't through SMBH or Uprising or whatever. It was through the MTV Musical March Madness thingy. The first song I listened to was New Born, and I became obsessed with Muse through OoS. I'm now almost as obsessed (not in a creepy way) with Muse as most of you. So, since I started out on OoS, I got a pretty warm welcome to the boards. But I've been noticing that if you've been on the boards for a while, and you say something like "Starlight is amazing" or CE is overrated", people say, "Oh, okay, you have the right to your own opinion." If you're a newbie, they're like, "Oh, you're not a real fan. GTFO." See, I love Feeling Good, Starlight, Invincible, and yes, NSC. BHaR is my favorite Muse album. I don't really like Stockholm Syndrome. So apparently I'm not a real Muse fan. But ask my parents, who have to put up with my constant ramblings about Muse, and ask them if I'm a real Muse fan. Now, you might say, "Oh, the boards for every band are the same." Not exactly. See, I've been on the AFI boards before these. They're not nearly as busy as these, but in my opinion, they're much more friendly. They welcome newbies much more warmly, they don't insult each other (much. I admit that they do, but not nearly as much as here), and most importantly, don't insult the band. They share their opinions, positive and negative, but in a mature way. These boards are like "Omg Resistance sucks, NSC is horrible, bring back the old Muse!" Sure, there's the same thing occasionally on the AFI boards, but it's not nearly as bad. If there is, it's usually just ignored, and those people just leave. Anyway, I also agree with the whole creeping Muse out thing. Saying "They're so hot" or something is fine. Going any further is just creepy. Seriously, don't say anything on the internet that you wouldn't say to their faces. Sorry for the ridiculously long rant...

Resistance for me, best to worst: MK Ultra Exogenesis (2, 3, then 1) Unnatural Selection Resistance Undisclosed Desires Uprising Guiding Light USoE IBTY. I barely even count it as a serious Muse song.

So, in my dream, I had gotten a new dentist, and for some reason, Matt was staying with this dentist for a week (wtf?). So, the dentist randomly knew that I liked Muse, and arranged for me and Matt to meet. We ended up going to some restaurant that was, strangely, called Bellamy's, and we talked for a while. It was great!

Muse dream #2 (Well, not exactly Muse dream, but it had a Muse reference) I had this crazy random dream, and somewhere in the middle of it, I heard someone playing the piano in my dream. I was like, "Oh my god, is that Matt Bellamy?" My friend Ian, who randomly showed up at that moment, was just like, Wtf? I shrugged and said, "Well, it sounds like his piano-playing style..." Then I continued with my extraordinarily random dream after waking up and grinning a bit.
