  1. Or make it appear that way, sell out 18 (currently listed gigs), and then release about 30-40 more dates at the same price, thus making a bucket load more money
  2. Very odd, but makes me very hopeful that there'll be plenty of additional gigs added 'due to popular demand', or such like. Unless the scale of the show means they'll do little batches, and then use the time inbetween two transport everything.
  3. France announced now on Muse.mu. Bercy end Feb/start March. Two dates.
  4. "One seat on rows 1-15" I agree with everybody else tbh. VIP should include drinks, food, merchandise, a special pre/post bar party, even meet and greet. The moment you start getting better positions at the gig than those who are already paying £70-80... I dunno. Doesn't sit well with me. I really don't think they'll sell very well to be honest. Would genuinely be surprised if they shifted 100 VIP packages per venue, which in the grand scheme of things won't cause that much of an issue, I guess.
  5. Indeed - just hope they add some of them today or tomorrow. Seems odd that half of the tour would be missing from pre-sale.
  6. Anyone know if any other European dates will be announced before the Wednesday pre-sale? I know we've got German ones, but the best months for me to go and see them would be July or August, so don't want to buy Hamburg or Berlin tickets, only for Amsterdam or Paris for example to be announced in a few weeks.
  7. Interesting. LA in November. Part of a bigger tour, or a one-off? What are people's thoughts on the rest of Europe such as Germany, France, Netherlands, but also Canada/USA? I reckon roughly May-August 2016, and then maybe some stadiums in September/October. All up in the air for now though, obviously.
  8. Agree with this. It wasn't an actual serious tour, surely? My nearest one was Manchester, and it was a 12 (+3) song gig in a capacity of 2,600.
  9. I know many of you will want to stand, but let's not lose track of the fact that Manchester tickets start from £45 for seating, which is more than reasonable. Always strikes me as being odd that standing is more expensive. At football matches, standing areas where the atmosphere is better are always cheaper. Why not the same for gigs?
  10. Seems especially steep when you consider I paid £32 for a rear-view seat at Manchester in 2012, and the band did actually face us for a fair proportion of the time. More than double for a similar experience three years later?
  11. I really do hope you're right. Drones is one of my favourite albums, and I'd be gutted to miss out on the live experience.
  12. It strikes me that they're trying to do a show which belongs in a huge stadium in arenas, simply because they can't get H+S clearance for outdoor drones. I really don't like today's announcement for many reasons. Firstly, too few UK dates. We've had one last minute small tour with short setlists, and since then we've had to watch them fannying about in South America and at festivals. After waiting almost a year to see them in their home country, we are then treated to London (midweek nights), Manchester, Glasgow and a couple in Ireland/Northern Ireland. From a personal point of view, being based in Yorkshire and working, I can't get to London midweek. Glasgow on a Sunday is a similar problem. So Manchester is my only option, and I happen to have a wedding on that day. I know that's a selfish view of things, but come on - 4 locations in the UK?! Hoping they'll add more Manchester dates once this one sells out, but when? They won't play on the Saturday and Sunday because they're due in London on the Monday. Secondly, as I mentioned at the top of my post, I think they're misguided having a massive production inside. In an ideal world, we'd get an intensive UK/Europe arena tour, where they do a festival-esque setup. I loved watching the festivals lately. It's just song, song, song - bang, bang, bang. No messing about, just pure Muse, and it was great. So do an intensive tour which could visit places like Liverpool, Newcastle, Sheffield, MK, Cardiff, Nottingham and so forth. Charge £40-50ish. Then, do a stadium tour, and have the HUGE production, and charge £70-100 if you have to. People would pay it. Meh. Just frustrated I guess because it's looking like I won't get there. Maybe I just need a hug.
  13. Of course. Sorry - had a special moment! Do we presume it will BEGIN in April 2016, and continue for a few months? I can't make anything before around May 10th
  14. How are they defining fans in this context? How does it differ from general sale?
