When the air pressure passing through your vocal cords is too strong, they begin to literally break apart, into falsetto. This is when your neck muscles step in to help keep your cords together. If this happens at a high pitch, the false cords will meet and start vibrating, resulting in distortion. But if you go very very high, the FVF will meet regardless (like that A6 video).
Now when the neck muscles step in, your vocal cords don't have room to stretch, so reaching higher notes in the modal register becomes hard. The difference between Matt and Jimmy is that Matt's neck muscles step in a lot earlier, and therefore his break occurs a lot earlier.

Yeah falsetto's not that impressive. Showbiz is way easier than say, SFA or Hyper Music.

Is that LOL at the note or Matt missing the mic? Because I can't hear it in other videos... but it's the exact same note he hits. Weird.

That's basically what I meant. It's arguably a note, but it's more of an "accidental" note.

He's just muttering in a frequency range, there is no clear pitch. Anyway the range is roughly between F#2 and G#2.

Those who beef in a thread
And then wander to bed
Will wake in the morn
And find themselves warned

I may work on a Guiding Light cover. It will be dedicated entirely to you, of course.
