Got any faster links? This one's taking forever to load for me.

I have to admit I really enjoyed that acoustic version of Dig Down as much as I was hoping for Something Human.
Don't worry, we'll get Something Human on Saturday.
-
Jools <3
Let's hope that doesn't set the bar too high for the studio version.

I just watched it lol

Not every brass instrument is a trumpet.
-
Pretty sure there were no trumpets.Pressure sounded pretty good with the live trumpets, picturing a dream scenario where they bring trumpets on tour for Pressure, KoC and make City of Delusion a staple for the tour 😍😍 -
Hah, I know better than to buy a record with Dig Down on it.Harder to do when you buy the record. -
The wonders of the streaming age. I'll just remove any songs from the new album that I don't like. Dig Down certainly won't be in it.DD shouldn't be on the album. I sometimes fantasize about a better, revamped version being surprise released as the official album cut to make up for the lackluster single, but that won't happen. -
Acoustic guitar: Something Human. Are we expecting anything new from Jools Holland tonight? Chris seen with a keytar bass and matt with an accoustic guitarMy bet is we'll see Pressure, Something Human and then either The Dark Side or Thought Contagion.

How exactly do you think that artwork for an album is made?Maybe it's just me and my unpopular opinions. But I feel the last 4 Muse LPs(TR, T2L, Drones, ST) have been very lazy & derivative. BH&R was already on the edge of that problem, but I feel it still exudes a confidence in the songwriting that is largely absent from what followed. Also notice another thing - no B-sides after 2006. Also look at artwork on BH&R(album, singles). All super classy and interesting. Artwork on everything 2009-present, not so much. -
How on earth is Pressure lacking in groove? And how does Uprising have more of it?Something HumanThe Dark Side
Pressure
Thought Contagion
Dig Down
I'll agree DD isn't as bad as people have been saying. I mean, it's very well arranged and is in fact catchy. I think my real problem with the new tracks in many cases is they seem a bit stiff (DD, Pressure, TDS). Like, this is the band that Mutt Lange just forced to do tons of live takes on Drones before choosing one to put on the album. Why do they sound so metronomic and ungroovy a few years later? And Madness and Uprising groove like heck, so this I think is a newer issue.
But honestly the songs could be worse. Remember they aren't just doing impressions this time around like on T2L (Big Freeze = U2, Liquid State = Foo Fighters, Panic Station = Superstition, Stevie Wonder, Supremacy = James Bond music, and of course, Unsustainable = Skrillex).
Also Supremacy is hardly a James Bond impression other than the last chord. And Liquid State is a Foo Fighters impression? Really?

I know you didn't, but you also said "Like, I don't get it. Matt and Dom especially have said in the past they love to do gigs in Finland so uuhh?" This whole sentence is assuming that they won't come. Not all dates have been released. There is no reason to start talking about how much they like Finland etc.I didn't say they aren't coming I said "if they don't". Also yes it is a long time considering they sell out every gig they've done here, they have a massive fan base in relation to the small population. And they sell out in a lot of places in the world that they visit a lot less than Finland.
-
What don’t you get? All the dates haven’t been added yet. 2016 wasn’t exactly long ago btw.If they're not coming to Finland I'll fucking riot. The last time they were here was in 2016 and that was a Drones arena tour so you can probably already figure out it ranks on the last place in the 4 times I've seen them. Like, I don't get it. Matt and Dom especially have said in the past they love to do gigs in Finland so uuhh?E: Might go to Riga tho, it's not too far and Latvia is much cheaper than Finland so I might be able to see Muse AND grab some cheap booze on the way back

You and I seem to have very different understandings of the type of music that St. Vincent makes.Honestly this song sounds like it could have been done by St. Vincent. Ugh. -

Something just threw me off my theory though. In the ending of TC it is implied that all that happened in that video was just a video game (meaning that DD is a video game inside a video game), then Matt shows up outside that video game, with his car and as a werewolf. So how does that make sense if TC is the sequel to Pressure? He takes on his VR glasses in Pressure and ends up in an...arcade game..that is physically placed somewhere else...
I originally thought that this would be a very badly done video concept but the more I think about it the more it seems like they've thought it through a lot (even if they've done it as they go along sometimes). So now I'm trying to figure out how the arcade game works.
-
Another thing I realised. In the beginning of SH (which takes place in what we assume to be the real world) we can see "infected" on a sign. I think Matt takes on the VR glasses and simulates the history of how the world became infected.
The director has apparently confirmed that Pressure is the prequel to TC.What if the order through which the videos are supposed to be viewed reflects roughly the same positioning the songs will have during gigs?To me it goes like this, btw: Dig Down --> Thought Contagion --> Pressure --> Something Human --> The Dark Side.
-
Great video.
Very confusing how they are going to be tied together tho. They are certainly not in album order
Pressure->Dig Down->Thought Contagion->Something Human->The Dark Side
In Pressure we see him go into virtual reality. Loads of shit happens and people become zombie vampires which leads into Thought Contagion, where we see some of the same actors from the new Pressure video. Then he takes off the glasses and ends up where we see him in Something Human, which leads naturally into The Dark Side.
Dig Down is a game being played at the beginning of TC.

Oh god they want to work more with choreography and theatrics on stage. Please, no more performers.
-
Is this gonna be Muse's 'After Laughter'?
I wish.
If only Muse could do poppy and fun without also being corny, out-of-date and ridiculous.
-
Yeah but Algorithm isn't just synthy, it's Blade Runner soundtrack-inspired. And having a non-poppy, non-energetic song in the MIDDLE of an encore along with two other new songs, neither of which is a single is just begging for a dead crowd. If anything it sounds like a song that could open an encore.

"The Club Gig to End All Club Gigs"
The Dark Side
Pressure
Animals / MK Ultra
The Handler / Reapers / Defector
Psycho
Isolated System
Sunburn / Showbiz
Something Human
Madness / Dead Inside
Easily / Coma
Map of the Problematique
Ruled by Secrecy
The Gallery
Glorious / Shrinking Universe
Unsustainable
Propaganda
Algorithm
Blockades
We haven't even heard the songs yet but something tells me that encore would be really strange.
